“Bar maid's boy friend was at the end of the bar. Needless to say he got 80% of her attention. It was difficult to spend money or get a drink. Food tasted great. Although my French dip sandwich came with enough dip for about two bites. I would guess it was just the bar maid doing a poor job. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen. The Thursday day bar tender needs a different job. I will return hoping for better service.“

As a trucker this is the only thing to eat at a lot of truckstops and they are serving us something That taste like horse meat. “The food here is always solid and the servers are a lot cuter than days of past. Go to the north hill location and ask for Brooke n I bet she won’t let ya down! Even after the onion rings were slightly overcooked on the last visit, she replaced them with absolutely no question in an instant and though it took a while to get the replacement order, it gave me a chance to enjoy a meal while talking to her a bit longer. She was very sweet and I have been back a couple times since!“

“Great people very friendly great food a lot of food good service clean plays helped with questions due to weight loss surgery tried to do their best to answer them even tried to suggest other restaurants so I stayed and waited for their restaurant. Great friendly people couldn't ask for better five stars all the way around. Great food really really awesome. I'm just everywhere. I highly recommend it to anybody. It's kind of expensive but it's well worth it. I would eat here again.“

“First time ordering from Big Star thanks to a pizza group I’m in on FB. Expansive menu including pastas, salads, burgers yes burgers, some Greek options and other Italian options. I can’t wait to order from here again. The person taking my order was super friendly. Pizza came out amazing. Ordered the New York style with all veggies and a side of garlic dipping sauce. Also Not greasy either. Crispy and balanced. So so yummy. Ordered the breaded mixed veggies as well. Delish breading. Recommend.“

“food was great....... except for the chicken wings. we came out of state from Buffalo NY for a concert in Akron OH. seen this place so we stopped. the portions are great for the price. I did the half rack of ribs and they were pretty good. my wife got a bacon cheese burger and loved it. said it was juicy and good flavor. the mac n cheese wedges were awesome. now this is where it turned. being from Buffalo I am spoiled and know my wings. I got the Cajun wings from here in a 5 piece to take and snack on back at the hotel. I took one bite and never finished them. the texture of the meat was super dense like they were boiled instead of deep fried and the skin was rubbery and almost like paper thin. the Cajun sauce was good but the wings themselves were just not my cup of tea. they don't come close to REAL Buffalo chicken wings. all in all I still highly recommend this establishment and the rest of the food. also prices, atmosphere, our waitress and the rest of the staff was excellent.“

“Went to this place today.My bun wa hard. the meat was good but when the bill came they charged us way more than the the menu price. I ordered a double cheese burger and so did someone else and was charged 13 something.. I also got a single burger snd not a double.. my husband had the hot flaming burger which was a single burger and and they gave him 2 pattys . someone else with me got the burger with the hot dogs on it and was charged at least $4 more then advertised.. they got rootbeer was advertised $3 a peice and was charge $6. you know I can go menches and get s better meal! we won't be back! this should not have been a $70 bill! this is the menu they posted on this page 21 hours ago.. oh and we asked for a basket of fries they brought 2 he said was alot af fries so we assumed it was to make it easier for 4 people to share.. nope charged us for 2!“

“Fries were cooked well... staff was kind .. the staff needs to pay attention to their surroundings and what they are touching.. i saw a gentleman go from front to back through a silver metal door 3 times while I was there, and not once did he change his gloves.. he's "hands" may have been clean, but his gloves were not clean enough to touch people's food .. gloves give a false sense of cleanliness and sanitation. Please offer a review along with education on this ...“

“Great place! My wife and I moved to Akron 6 months ago and we drive by Portage Trail frequently. Decided to give it a try today and it is very good! Love the fact that you can add/modify your order as you please in the self check out kiosk and add patties (burger or chicken) to your sandwich. And has a great beer selection as well!

“I was just here 2 days ago with my two granddaughters Monday April 01, 2025. I am used to very used to craappy service from Applebee's as a whole. However, this time I was pleasantly surprised My server was Kayla or Kayleigh, she was very pleasant and attentive, our food was spot on. I was blown away! Good job guys!“
