“Stopped by for carry-out lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty and the outside looked like it was closed however, the food was much better than expected! Got a 2 meat 2 side combo for $11 or so and it was delicious. I’d go back again. The Honey Chicken was my favorite“

“My husband and I made reservations for Valentine’s Day for a 5 course meal. We made our selections for each course ahead of time. As you may see in other reviews, this was the first time the restaurant offered this type of service for Valentine’s Day. Our amazing server, Jenn, gave us a heads up that the kitchen was behind.

The food did come out pretty late, but I am still leaving a 5-star review for 4 reasons:

1. The quality of service from our server, Jenn. She was kind, calm, and personable. She kept the wine coming and did a great job of setting our expectations and taking care of us wherever she could.

2. The restaurant’s response to the wait time for food. All of the wine we drank that evening (it was a lot) was fully comped. Then, the restaurant went above and beyond by sending everyone a $50 gift certificate for future use. I don’t think many restaurants would do that.

3. The quality of food when it finally arrived. Yes it took some time to get to our table, but the food was phenomenal! Still dreaming of that filet Oscar. Worth every penny!

4. The wine. Michael Angelo’s has always had amazing wine at an incredible price, and we definitely enjoyed our fair share this particular evening! I can think of a lot worse situations to be in than waiting for a meal with some great wine in the company of my best friend.

Yes there were some hiccups, but we will absolutely be back if they decide to try this type of service again.“

“I have gone there once a week for the last three weeks and the hamburgers are always cold. We had burgers today and all three of us got cold burgers today. The other people in the car did like the milkshakes though.“

“I was happily surprised to find the King Tut, Egyptian Street Food truck at my niece’s graduation party! The owners were helpful in explaining the menu and delightful to chat with. “Wow! A hidden gem! First, very clean, friendly wait staff, interesting decor. Second, breakfast served all day. Third, the menu items were simple, nothing fancy here, but really good food! Prices? I’d say slightly lower than average. I paid $10 for Cornbeef hash, and that came with 3 eggs, and potatoes plus two slices of toast! Plus the CBH was not greasy! Try this place!“

“We have been coming to Hot Grillz Diner since we saw it on New Day Cleveland (way before the pandemic). Karen and crew are awesome and the food is fabulous. “Derek was amazing! We placed a large order to take to our Swensons obsessed family in Charleston, SC. He and the kid who was shadowing him were very accommodating and even double wrapped our order so it would be ok for the 1.5 hour flight!!! (Did you know Galley Boys can fly too)? “My husband and I stopped by the Nervous Dog Coffee Bar for the first time today and we really like this place my Chai was great and his French coffee was perfect, we split a raspberry pastry which was also good. The prices are good better than other places we have been.“

The taste was okay and the serving was not huge enough to justify its price. The new England clam chowder was delicious too! The calamari is just average. The restaurant building and the road outside were under construction, so we were confused where the restaurant entrance door was when we arrived. We didn't have any reservations, but we were seated right away. There were only two staff members serving everyone. Not sure if that's a regular thing. Waiting time for orders to be served was a little long but worth the wait. The women bathroom was a little dirty and tissues are all used up, no other tissues were there to use. Overall, we were happy with the food. We even got the CLAMS AN OLD SAILORS Way order to take home with us. Will probably be back just for the food, and maybe just do a takeout instead of dining in.“

“Pizza and beer. Beer and pizza. Need I say more?

But I will. They offer quite a bit of Italian fare. There are no servers, and you need to go to the food counter and order. They will bring your food to your table. We ordered three different styles pizzas. Butter crust, a deep dish, and a thin crust. All came out of the kitchen in no time and were hot to order. I did like the sauce. There are quite a few pizza choices plus sandwiches, pastas, salads, and appetizers. Our food this night was pretty good.

Now the beer. You get a wristband and tap the beer tap before pouring. It will keep track of the size of the pour and charge you accordingly. I didn't count, but there are probably around 25 choices of brew on tap. I had a few of the taps sputter, so I did not get a full pour, but that was OK. It meant I could sample more styles.

The indoor seating is nice. Most are high tops. They also have a large outdoor patio area with a fire pit if you choose. The staff are friendly and continued to check on us, removing plates, getting us take home boxes, answering questions, and overall, they were attentive to our needs.“
