“We stopped at Hocking Hills Inn & Coffee Emporium multiple times during our Hocking Hills hiking trip in 2024, and I still think about this little coffee shop. We did not stay at the inn, so this review is specifically for the coffee shop and food.

The coffee was genuinely excellent, enough that after the trip I continued ordering the espresso beans they use, Dirty Girl Coffee, for a couple of years. Dirty Girl Coffee is a small-batch Ohio roaster with a social mission focused on women’s economic progress in Appalachia. That made discovering their coffee here even more memorable for me.

We also came back for food more than once, which probably says enough on its own. After spending the day hiking, it was such a cute, comfortable place to stop for a good espresso drink and something to eat.

We’re not in southeastern Ohio very often, but Hocking Hills makes a great long-weekend getaway, and if we ever make it back, this will absolutely be on the list again. It’s been a couple of years and I still remember it fondly, which is probably one of the better compliments I can give a coffee shop.“

“We have been coming to Art and Clay for 10 or 11 years and are so grateful to have such a gem here in Lancaster. Our 3, now adult, children still love painting here to this day. Ive included a picture of our first creations and our second visit along with what my daughter and I created today. We've gone together as a family of 5, had 'date paints' with just one child at a time, had paint parties with friends and family. I took the throwing class in February....highly recommend that!! And my youngest used his Xmas ornament painting to ask a girl to winter homecoming last year.....she said yes and they are still dating now :-) Such wonderful memories! Today I painted with my oldest before she heads back for her senior year of college. There's something wonderful about creating something side by side and being able to let the conversation ebb and flow naturally as you concentrate on getting your piece aligned with your vision. You can talk about your biggest fears, your hopes and dreams and they all kind of slide their way onto the piece you are creating. It's like the best, most relaxing therapy and priceless time spent with people you love. Highly recommend building this tradition with those you love! Oh and the iced Chai latte with oat milk is perfect!!!“

“Got several drinks including a dragon fruit refresher and it was delightful. Jetta was friendly and efficient in getting my drinks as soon as possible. I’ve read the previous reviews and I must disagree with the timing of getting what you’ve ordered. Specialty drinks take longer due to the specific ingredients rather than a traditional standard drink. It’s so nice to have this in Kroger while getting my groceries!“

“I frequent this establishment and every time I do they are very polite on the speaker when I order. They say 'you're welcome' after I say 'thank you' and they always have an upbeat voice when they are taking your order, it's not like they are being tortured to be at work.“
