My wife and I had the privilege of having J. Pistone cater our wedding rehearsal dinner on October 6th, 2023. The wide range of food options that were made available to us gave our guests a fantastic pallet of delicious options. Additionally, the staff that were present to help serve food and drinks were extremely kind and helpful. We would, without a doubt, strongly recommend J. Pistone for catering any kind of event!

Wonderful neighborhood market and cafe. l highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. Order at the deli counter and food will be prepared to order and delivered to your table or packaged for carry out. I enjoyed the Shaker Beef sandwich. You really should try the Lobster Bisque as it’s fantastic. You can’t go wrong with the Key Lime Pie for dessert. Before leaving I shopped their market for some pasta and also found Maple Crackle. Just WOW! Great people and service in a clean neighborhood setting. Not fancy but there aren’t many places like this left.

Almost seemed kinda empty for the large space it occupies. Dine in or carry out after ordering at the counter. Various Italian goods like sauces, pastas, and some random gourmet syrups, wine, and craft beer available. Several different cold pasta type salads and baked items from the very sour and super delicately buttery crumbly lemon shortbread cookie to the $7 super rich creamy personal sized quiche. The molasses cookie was soft and tasty as well. If they had grab and go cold items off their menu, they'd probably make a lot of $$!

Ate in the little dining area. Very clean. Service was excellent. Super friendly. Food was amazing. Breakfast quiche was delicious and well more than enough for one person. The key lime pie was the best I have had outside the Florida Keys. Definitely would return.

Hidden away a stone's throw from the Van Aken Center in Shaker Heights is a wonderful cafe beloved by the locals--J Pistone. A great place to go for lunch with daily specials, wonderful fresh salads, paninis, and daily specials, Pistone's is a favorite meeting place for neighbors. You must, must try their Lobster Bisque--made daily it is rich, fragrant and succulent with lobster. Also delicious is their Asian noddle salad and wonderful pastries. It offers great take-out, catering, and a nice selection of wines.
Such great food!! We were there close to their closing time, so a lot of the display case was empty, but they made us yummy sandwiches and wraps. Their cookies are amazing!

What a lovely little place! Came around 330pm on a Wednesday. I don't make it out this way very often but was in the area for work and stopped for lunch. I have to get lobster bisque anytime its on the menu anywhere. I am a snob and this was pretty darn good. The toasted sourdough was delicious. The turkey blt panini was very good, very fresh ingredients. We didn't order sides but the lovely young lady working gave us a side of the asian noodles and chick pea curry. Not really my jam but if you like those flavors I bet you would love them. The curry flavor was amazing I just don't care for chickpea. My friend got a ginger molasses cookie on recommendation from the girl working and it was SO good. There was a taller guy working behind the kitchen and he also rang us out, he was a gem as well. Super nice and friendly workers. They also have a selection of some dried pasta, salsas etc and reasonably priced wines. Naturally I got a bottle to go and it is very good! If I lived in the area I would be here a lot!!

My family has been dining with the Pistones for over 30 years beginning with the Lincoln Inn & following her to Shaker Hts. The food is always delicious, the service prompt and Joni is the consummate hostess.
