I talked my husband into going. We went on Friday evening, we sat at the bar, service was great. As we sat there I heard a saxophone with my back to the band. I asked my husband is that a sax I hear. He said yes. The band was good. My husband said "this is going to be my new go to place". Nice crowd.
Just the best. What more can I say. The food is delicious and locally sourced. Highly recommend the burger, Chicken Avocado sandwich, Thai Burrito, Margarita Pizza, Pimento and Chips, and Vegetarian Enchiladas. For breakfast, the Biscuit and Preserves, Sunrise Burrito, coffee (so good), Mushroom Frittata, Deluxe Egg Sandwich, Smoothie Bowl, I mean you can see that I’m just listing off the entire menu at this point. The Ginger Ale is otherworldly.

Absolute 10 out of 10 experience, I don't know who that bartender was that served us, I think her name was Minn, but she was very sweet, and very kind and funny! Brought my friend with me to have a drink and Minn gave us a great Margarita recommendation, and the food was great. Definitely coming again soon! Oh and Whoever Minn's boss is, give her a raise, she deserves it.

Located in Shaker Heights, Northstar Cafe is a local gem. The food is always fresh and well prepared, with a delicious and varied selection. The hamburger is gourmet with quality meat, and the fish sandwich is lite and delicious. The pimento cheese with homemade tortilla chips is tasty, and the carrot cake is absolutely amazing. The Chop Salad is made to perfection. The atmosphere is stunningly beautiful, with great lighting and jazz music during dinner service. Service is great, with a super friendly staff who are always willing to make things right. Ordering is easy and efficient. While food arrival can be uncoordinated, the chef and staff genuinely care about the experience. It is a solid value for the portions.
