“Brassica in Shaker Heights was such a good find while visiting a friend. I went twice in one trip, that should tell you something. Got the salad bowl both times with hummus and basically loaded it up with everything, and it just works no matter what combo you put together. Tried the chicken on one visit and the brisket on the other, both were fabulous. Fair warning though, the brisket is subject to availability, so don't count on it being there every time.
Do yourself a favor and order the fries at least once even if you're trying to be good. They complement the bowl perfectly, and throwing a few fries right into the salad is genuinely a great move. Also have to mention the beer selection. Good local options and reasonably priced, which is a nice touch alongside the food.
This place earns the trip back any time I'm in the area.“

“I love thin style pizzas, a la Il Rione and Pizzeria di Laura, but the bottom 1/3 end of our margherita pizza was crunchy, almost like a thick potato chip. The middle part up to the crust was good and the crust is quite large, but tasty. Although I don't like eating the crust that much. The taste of the middle portion of the pizza was good. We'll have to try this again.“

“Today was the first time I ever tried Beet Jar. I have been nextvdoor so many times and never knew this place was even there. I am OBSESSED!! “I talked my husband into going. We went on Friday evening, we sat at the bar, service was great. As we sat there I heard a saxophone with my back to the band. I asked my husband is that a sax I hear. He said yes. The band was good. My husband said "this is going to be my new go to place". Nice crowd.“

“My visit today was on a Sunday at approx 6pm or so. I accidently placed the wrong Sundae order and was willing to eat it anyway, but I thought what the heck I'll just be honest and explain what happened. The staff was nice enough to correct my order and offer the Turtle Sundae I desired which was delicious as usual.

Plus - The ice cream always tastes delicious; the service is fast and excellent every time. Even if the line is long it always moves fast. The temperature in the dining area is always comfy whether it is hot or cold outside. The dining area is always clean. Lots of delicious flavors and speciaty items like shakes and sundaes. This has become my fave ice cream spot in NEO.
Minus: Approx 6 unruly, loud, disruptive youth arrived near the end of my visit. I wanted to escort them right out the door, fortunately they didn't stay long. Perhaps this is a new trend in Solon because a similar thing happened in nearby Chick-Fil-A Solon a few weeks ago. Oops I spoke too soon, the bad kis came back :(“

I had this delicious chocolate brownie waffle cone, and it was yummy and fresh! The flavors are unique, and the cup and cone options abundant.
