Jenn's Backstube: A taste of Germany in Ohio

Gf Italian focaccia is out of this world. That’s my opinion. It’s so fluffy. I spread butter on mine. Next time I’m going to dip in melted butter. My next order is going to be gf pretzels.

I tried the dill sourdough and the rye sourdough. Great flavor and it doesn’t upset my tummy. Fresh and local is best. I stock up with her now and freeze ahead. It’s worth every penny. She puts all her love and attention into everything she bakes. Especially her German cheesecake which is AMAZING. It doesn’t mess with your blood sugar so I eat it for breakfast even. 😋

I have sampled a couple of different items and they’ve both been fantastic! I love her use of tradition in these German baked goods- what a great way to celebrate my heritage!

Absolutely delicious baked goods!! Jen is clearly a pro at what she does. The soft pretzels, dill pickle sour dough and Krempel Are amazing. I’m really looking forward to trying more of her wonderful food in the future.

Jenn's Backstube catered the Oktoberfest at Ohio Living Dorothy Love! Everything was outstanding! Jenn was extremely helpful in selections prior to the event - they all sounded delicious - we wanted them all! On the day of the event, she delivered the pretzels in lovely baskets and all labeled for ease in decisions at the serving table! We will definitely keep her in mind for future events! Thanks Jenn!

What a treat these gluten-free pretzels are! A quick pop into the airfryer and it's a freshly baked pretzel! Danke, Jenn!

I can only re-emphasize that every product I’ve eaten is great and truly authentic ( I’m an expat living in Germany) from the variety of Pretzels 🥨 like the ones with jalapeños, cheese and bacon on top, pretzel pizza crusts to her desserts like cheese cake ( without Philadelphia cheese), streusel Kuchen and Lucious Black Forest cake. I try to imagine game day enjoying a bunch of pretzel crust pizzas with a bunch of friends. And because she’s a people person her menu includes gluten free pretzels.

I decided to follow Jenn’s Backstube a bit closer. Now I have discovered that she is quite an entrepreneur who takes great pride in bringing authentic German bake goods to this town. I am truly impressed by her creativity and bringing her “Brizza” to local pizza lovers.
