Show up on Saturday after driving an hour to eat some lunch. Advertised open at 12pm. Showed up at 1:15pm.

Walk in the front door and nobody around.

Call them. No answer. Voice Mail not set up.

I haven’t been to this place but looked it up after seeing its name on social media a few times, nothing negative. But then I came to the reviews only to see people with the same complaints so it must be true. And adding 20% tip is crazy when it isn’t earned. I hope management changes things for the better because I won’t even come to or recommend this restaurant because of the reviews. I wrote this to say people actually read the comments before entering and it isn’t a good look. Please do better. I gave a 3/5 just to be fair because I haven’t been, but I believe the customers.

They never answer the phone and no option to leave a voicemail. They’re on DoorDash but won,t confirm the order. Super unprofessional. If you are closed or kitchen is closed then update the public. Nonsense.

Was given the “wrong menu” and charged higher prices than what was shown. There’s also a 20% service charge automatically added, but this was not communicated when I asked about tipping, so I ended up tipping on top of it. When I called, the server admitted to giving me the wrong menu and stated the only resolution offered was to come back for a discounted drink, which isn’t helpful after the experience.

Food was good but not worth the pricing or lack of transparency. If you dine here, I recommend confirming pricing for each item and being aware that a 20% “service charge” is included.

Scam in a restaurant and a Rip off, stay Far away! from this establishment they don’t bring a cheque and instead just come with a pos and say your bill is certain ridiculous amounts, if you ask for your itemized receipt the waiters will say they will go get it and will never come back, I have visited severally and it has not changed it repeats it self they charge you 20% gratuity without telling you and will still ask for a tip to set you back like 40% total on the price of what you buy, the meals are overpriced, and I’m sure the owner knows about the scam.

I reserved a section for my birthday brunch on 3/15. When we arrived the place was empty, and the bartender had no idea she even had a party. It was just her and one cook in the back, we had a group of about 13 people. The bartender was taking orders, making the drinks, bringing out the food, etc. about an hour in we were informed the cook had left due to being on her menstrual cycle, so we did not eat and the 4 people who received their food were either messed up or nasty. I ordered a hookah and they didn’t want to bring it out until I paid for it, like we were going to run off. Mind you I put down $100 deposit to reserve the section, and it went towards the bottle purchased. They took an hour to bring the bottle out as well, and did not want to bring it out until it was paid in full. The server was apologetic but not the owner, we did not get any compensation or a resolution to the issue. the owner has yet to reach out and apologize for the inconvenience. I would give the place 0 stars if could, I would not recommend and I will not be back.

Had the goat curry egusi, that came with fufu. Was excellent. Fufu tastes like a smokey mashed potatoe that has a play doh like consistency.

Nesha was wonderful greeting..serving and explaining the foods to us. Our first time here The food is interesting in itself. My grandaughter loves food with spice! The pounded yam was something I had never had before and was like stiff mashed potatoes that you eat with your hands and dip into other entrees. She absolutely loved it! She had egThank you so much for the enjoyable experience.

My friend and I came on a Wednesday afternoon. The place is gorgeous, the atmosphere was chill, the vibes are impeccable. We had the egusi, fufu, and plantains. Everything was soooo delicious! Our bartender, Brandy, was so prompt and super funny!
All in all it was well worth the drive up here!!
