This is literally a gem. The food is fresh, flavorful, and fantastic all around. The owner, Nick, will be your best friend. Went there twice in a row, when I am back in Ohio and Michigan I will visit this place everytime. The shish tawook and the kafta kebabs are delicious. Every customer that came in while I was eating was incredibly happy, and I plan to take some food back on the plane with me before I head back.

Nick's service and this restaurant's food are amazing and we will be back. Homemade dressings, food recommendations and education. Food is fresh. The pickled turnips (which I normally would never go for) were absolutely delicious. Ameera's is a most gracious host, like we were being welcomed to home and family!

My wife and I have never eaten at Mediterranean restaurant. Our daughter suggested this place after seeing reviews and finding a place between Dundee Mi and Monclova Ohio. We arrived early and owner with his BIG BIG VOICE invited us to sit down. Very pleasant man who really cares about you having a good experience. They have teas, soft drinks, wines, beers etc. I originally ordered tea but found out it was tea bags so opted for Diet Coke. We ordered a large Humus with vegies and hot sauce accompanied by homemade pita bread. You can ask for extra garlic and I wish I did but wife and daughter wouldn't have like it. It was very tasty with the hot sauce thought it was great. My wife and daughter ordered Chicken Shawarma Rolled while I ordered the Mano's Pitza. The food came and was very good. There were several tables eating lunch and the owner/waiter paid close attention to all of us. The desserts looked to be killers but we were all full so bypassed them. It was $40+ for meals, drinks and appetizer. The food was very fresh and good. First time at Mediterranean and won't be last if all as good as this place.

If you're in the Toledo/Sylvania area and want the best Lebanese food I've tasted in a long time, definitely visit Ameera. The food, actually, is one thing (I'll get to that in a sec), but Nick, the owner, is such a wonderful, warm and welcoming host! He greeted my parents and I like he'd been WAITing for us to show up on a Monday evening and sat us right down to a meal I've been needing (as a transplant to Lebanese-food-deprived Washington state, home for a quick visit) for what seems like years! What we had: Tabbouleh, the cauliflower appetizer that had me thinking about licking the plate, and some perfect hummus... AND... my mom and I both had pita wraps, which we split and traded: Me the Arayiss and her the Kafta. SO delicious and filling. My dad had Nick's mom's specialty (which may not be available every night, but how cool, right? Mama's specialty!), which was a potato and rice and beef dish that dad loved and couldn't finish (yay for lunch tomorrow for all of us!) Dad and I both had the Lebanese red wine (Sorry... don't know the name and it hardly matters: It was delicious with the meal.) And we had the mint tea... a whole pot between us... which perfectly complemented the baklava and tiramisu for dessert (I know... it was a LOT!) We all left happy and full and glad to have been able to get out tonight. What a treat! I asked Nick if he'd ever thought of franchising in the Pacific Northwest, but I may have to wait... Good thing I come home 2-3 times a year! Definitely will find time to come back on every visit. :)

Well. That was fantastic. We ordered what the owner told us to. It gave us a great sampling of their food. We are regular customers at Poco, love the chicken at Byblos and the grape leaves at Grape Leaf. But. This is our spot moving forward. Nick, the owner, has it down. The couple next to us said "we drove from Waterville, passed a lot of restaurants to get here". Yup. Worth it. We look forward to taking our friends that have never heard of it.
We came last night with very limited time between hockey games … and we HAD to come back tonight with more family members. SO good. Fresh, fun, friendly. Delicious.Vegetarian options: All the options!!! Not an option- just normal

The food at Ameera Mediterranean Restaurant is fantastic. It's very fresh and prepared with care. Nick (the owner) works very hard to ensure you enjoy your meal and that it's cooked to your liking. We love the salads, pita rolls and hummus. If you like to kick things up, be sure to order the hot sauce.

I NEVER give reviews on restaurants but this was too good not to. From the moment my husband and I walked in we were greeted by the owner Nick and his parents. The restaurant was very clean and looked nice. We love Mediterranean/Lebanese food, we started off with the cauliflower and it was so delicious I can’t wait to go back for more. We then had the hummus and fattoush salad and everything was so fresh. Our entree was the chicken and beef with rice. The meat was so tender and juicy, we cleaned our plates. I’ve been to several other local Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurants and this by far is the best. I can’t wait to go back!!

Went here recently with my husband and it was really delicious! We are pretty picky when it comes to food and we loved everything we ordered. The homemade hot sauce paired well with the food the baklava cheesecake for dessert was mouthwatering. The owner was also very pleasant and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Ameera is named after the owner Nick's grandmother. My mother and I visited there soon after they opened for the day. Nick greeted us as we entered through the door. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. Nick seated us, gave us menus and asked what we would like to drink. Mom ordered lemonade and I ordered their Paradise smoothie. Both were freshly made. We are looking for diversity so we began with the vegetarian combo appetizer. Honestly, for one person this appetizer alone is meal enough and it was very satisfying. Mom ordered the chicken sambusack and I ordered a combo plate favorited by Ameera herself. Both plates came with a nice heap of fresh salad greens. You won't find any iceberg lettuce here. The salad remained fresh and crisp throughout the meal. Mom and I had tastes from each other's plate as this is also a culinary expedition. Next to Mom's salad was a triangle shaped pita bread that was filled with all kinds of goodies. Throughout there is a slight curry flavor that we enjoyed and all the flavors melded together wonderfully balanced. At this point we realized that this was no ordinary restaurant. Nick is very friendly and approachable when we asked questions about the food. This man has a genuine passion and pride in what he serves and keeps true to his roots and in the tradition of grandma Ameena. We felt as if we were in someone's home eating a home-cooked meal created by grandma. I'm looking forward to going there again for the cauliflower plate and the lamb chops.Dessert? Nick asks. You gotta be kidding! We left there feeling very full, but not heavily so like we ate a 2lb greasy hamburger. Ameera also offers catering. Don't pass up this gem. Eat better, eat well, eat healthier. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: The menus are well marked indicating vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and containing nuts.Parking: Some spots are designated just for Ameera.
