Amma's Indian Kitchen Reviews
Their website says it closes at 930pm , we reached at 840pm, the owner we are already closed and they can’t take orders now, inspite me requesting that we drove 5hrs enroute to Detroit to have dinner , they were not courteous at all to accommodate a customer , I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone
Wow - tried the chicken curry tonight and it was fantastic! We usually drive down to Tandoor so we’re happy to have this place so close! The wife tried the Tikka Masala and I had the Kadai Chicken curry. Both delicious!
Ordered takeout via DoorDash and it was delicious and did NOT disappoint—highly recommend!

Based on the reviews, Amma's Indian Kitchen serves rich, authentic Indian food with a focus on southern flavors. The food is described as fantastic, amazing, delicious, and well worth the drive. The staff is kind, gracious, and caring, going above and beyond for dietary restrictions, including vegan diets. They take time to talk to customers and make sure they are taken care of. Specific meals mentioned include Masala Dosa, which is enormous and served with well-seasoned potatoes, a fresh coconut sauce, a peanut-based sauce, and lentil soup. The Gobi Manchurian is a rich dish of fried cauliflower. The Chicken Vindaloo is next on one reviewer's to-try list. The dosas are deceptively large and are an excellent appetizer to share. The fruit milkshakes are not served cold but are very sweet. All spices are ground in-house. The restaurant is also praised for quick, hot, fresh, and delicious takeout. Reviewers highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely be returning to try more dishes.
