I have been coming here for 20 years, they had a great reputation for the Q and and the value. They had started to serve smaller portions in order to not raise prices during COVID, and now they have raised prices and kept the portions the same.
The Q is good but not great. They tend to run dry at times.

This is a very romantic and fun spin on the most tender, melt in your mouth pulled pork in Ohio! I had so many laughs, and made many new memories while enjoying the BEST corn bread, ever…I love the order and serve cafeteria feel. The service is superb. They make the BBQ precedent high. The specials are amazing. You can’t go wrong here.
First time at Hickory River and so impressed with the food! Definitely will be back. The brisket and pulled pork was delicious & my daughter loved the mac n cheese. Chili was good too!
