Incredibly gracious staff. I had the pork belly tacos and tamale bites…LAWD! 10/10 don’t think about it. Just do it!
We recently held a family dinner with approximately 10-12 family members. Stephanie Lawson and our waitress, Katie, were phenomenal!!
The menu choices were excellent and the food was outstanding. Chef Aaron Lawson made requested changes to certain menu items to accommodate several guests dietary needs and every item was perfect.

Avestruz is such a fantastic addition to the downtown 419 restaurant community. The atmosphere is relaxing, fun, artistic and full of great energy. What a great launching pad for the new Ostrich Town district! Chef Aaron and the entire team have created a menu that is creative and has something for everyone’s taste. Truly fantastic! The restaurant Avestruz has a relaxing, fun and artistic atmosphere with great energy. Lunch and dinner had street tacos, grilled shrimp, fried walleye, chicken and grits, crab crusted walleye and deep fried tamales. Appetizers hummus with roasted vegetables, Brussels sprouts and handmade mini donuts were excellent and outstanding reviews. The menu is creative and has something for everyone’s taste, with ample servings and exceptional drink and spirit. Service is top shelf, attention to dietary needs and detail. Guests liked the food as awesome, delicious, phenomenal and truly fantastic. The location is a fantastic addition to the downtown 419 restaurant community and a great launching pad for the new Ostrich Town district.
