Hands down the BEST cupcakes in the USA! Cake in a Cup has been a staple in our home for many years for birthdays or a “ Treat Yo Self Day”. The Toledo area is so blessed to have this bakery!

Stopped in this afternoon for a pick me up. My husband and I tried the red velvet cupcakes and also had bananas foster latte with cold foam. Cupcakes were delicious and the lattes were some of the best lattes we’ve had in a long time!

Excellent cupcakes and amazing customer service. They were so patient while my little one took forever to choose her cupcake.

I have been going to cake in a cup since they opened. It’s been so awesome to watch a local business grow throughout the years. The combination of flavors are exquisite. The presentation of each cake is well thought out. I will truly miss the lemon blueberry , Red Velvet, White wedding cake, and white chocolate mandarin. These cupcakes have been a such a fun treat for our household for years. You will be missed 🖤

Prices are ridiculous. Customer service was not very friendly. Don't blame the economy, when people can make cupcakes at home for a quarter of the price.

I went here for the first time today, and it did not disappoint! It’s such a cute, unique place. I loved the spray-painted old KitchenAids used for decor. The cupcakes were so good, and the woman helping me at the counter was the sweetest and gave me great recommendations on what to try. I will definitely be back!

Love having this as a go to for small personal celebrations as well as a nice treat for a friend on a special occasion. I don’t go often but every time I do I am never disappointed. Also excited to try their gluten free option next time I need a sweet treat!

Stopped in to get a half dozen assorted cupcakes for a birthday for a birthday get together after raving about how wonderful they were. I was very disappointed in the quality of the cupcakes, we chose 3 different flavors and all of the cakes were dry, almost tasted day old. Also as others have noted, the size has definitely decreased. Time to find a new bakery.

They didn't have any cupcakes left

Used to love this place but the customer service and quality has significantly declined.

It's February 7 and this month's flavors are still not posted. It would also be hopeful to have a description provided for each flavor.

Like others, I've noticed a reduction in size and quality flavor.

After checking the daily menu online I decided to stop in on 1/29/25 to get the strawberry crunch cupcake, along with vanilla and grasshopper cupcakes. The strawberry crunch cupcake was a vanilla cupcake with what was supposed to be strawberry frosting. The strawberry flavor was so faint that I had to question if there was any strawberry flavoring added. The cupcake itself was very heavy and dry and literally tasted like nothing. So dry in fact that I had to take a gulp of milk after each bite. The frosting on the vanilla cupcake was good, but it was the same vanilla cupcake used for the strawberry crunch cupcake. The frosting on the grasshopper cupcake was good, but the chocolate cupcake itself was dry and lacked flavor. Aside from the lack of flavor and freshness, the cupcakes are rather small for the price you pay. I don’t know what’s happened over the years, but the cupcakes were much bigger and better when they first opened. Maybe the goal was to win Cupcake Wars and nothing else. I will stick with my regular bakery and won’t be returning here.
