El Patron Mexican Restaurant

The restaurant is very spacious and we didnt have to wait for a table. Were sat and ordered 2 margs (peach and strawberry, frozen). We were not asked what size and the server just brought two HUGE glasses. They were absolutely delightful but i could not finish mine and i was drunk as hell by the time we left. My seafood burrito was really good and my partner ordered the steak fajitas, which were also swell. It was relatively expensive bc of the boats of marg, so next time i would mention a size. The salsa left something to be desired and the guac salad was lame.

I entered El Patron with high hopes, feeling nostalgic as I remembered the location began as an El Matador (with a few 👎 establishments in-between). The decor was fabulous and I liked the booth. The chips were very crispy and warm, however, the salsa was quite runny, almost like tomato juice. I asked if they had anything chunkier and the waitress shook her head no. My order was a Chili Relleno and a Chicken Tamale. The dinner was presented in an unappetizing way...it looked a mess. I couldn't see the chili. The Tamale had a husk barely attached and awkwardly sticking off of it and hanging over the edge of the plate. The Relleno *did* taste good. The Tamale (which is something I love to eat) was very dried out and hard on each end as if it was old. 😞 The entire Tamale was not soft or moist. As I was eating it, I suddenly realized I was forcing myself to. I did not finish my dinner but I did eat quite a few chips. The service wasn't good but I'm guessing it was possibly an off day for the waitress. 🤷‍♀️ The guy singing and playing guitar in the background was very pleasant and he had a great catalog of songs. I only give the food one star because of the chips and the taste of the Relleno. Sadly, I won't be returning.

We had the most terrible service which started with not being helped for 25 minutes after being sat. We got someone’s attention and finally got a server 30 minutes after sitting down. Following that, our food, including both appetizers and entrées were messed up from things simple as toppings to the meat inside and when sent back three times!! we were still charged. At one point he even asked us to pay twice for one dish that was messed up, after we said it did not make sense to pay for a mistake that was not ours. We waited over an hour for a meal that NEVER EVEN ARRIVED. We were told we pay to get it or they take it off and we get nothing. I absolutely do not recommend this place or having Fernando as your server. I also just want to add on that we did kindly ask to speak to a manager as we were not feeling heard, and we were greeted with the exact same man who was our server. DO NOT GO HERE.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. I had chicken tacos and they were dripping with grease. The bean dip was runny with no flavor. Maybe they were having an off night. However the gentleman singing and playing guitar was excellent.

I went last night and salsa taste too wet and not fresh, i ordered bean dip with cheese it’s ok ok, i ordered pizza Parton and just gross it’s too cheesy i can’t taste meats at all, they offered me half price for the pizza Parton, i accepted but i don’t think ill come back again.

Got birria tacos. They were so soggy i could not eat them. Whatever was on the inside tasted raunchy. There was hardly bo beans and rice and when picking up the order noone was around.
