Not our usual Mexican-American spot but one we enjoy. Love their margaritas - not too sweet. Good chips and salsa. We shared a guacamole appetizer. I had the Pollo Margarita, chicken breast was flavorful, well cooked without being dry. Hubs had the Carne Asada and definitely enjoyed it - really liked the seasoning. Cooked to order (medium) which he appreciated. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu.
Interior decor is pretty typical of Mexican restaurants in the area. 2 story dining patio with great views of the river, downtown Toledo and Promenade Park. Great spot to sit and relax with a marg or sangria. Appreciated that our waiter didn’t rush us but allowed us to sit and enjoy our drinks and the nice weather.

Literally told me the taco would be $2 and then proceeded to charge $7.29 and then brought the orders out wrong and when they went back to correct it, they left my $7.29 taco wrapped up in tin foil to go on my plate instead of eating it there and it was all soggy and falling apart by that point in time

Nice little Mexican restaurant by the Maumee river. The margaritas are absolutely delicious and the chips and salsa were good. Whatever you do don’t order the chicken nachos. They are by far the worst I’ve ever had. No pico de gallo or jalapeños. The chicken was shredded and the cheese was minimal.

I come here with my partner all the time, as we live close by and can pop over when the weather is nice so we can sit on the patio. It can get busy, but I don't mind a short wait.
The food probably won't blow your mind, but it's still delicious if you know what to order. The atmosphere on a sunny evening is hard to beat in Toledo.

Not sure how this place has so many high ratings. The atmosphere was okay as far as the overall layout and traditional decor. When you first walk in there is a very odd/bad smell that is not as bad once you're in the dining area but you can still smell it. Everyone greeted us promptly and with a smile. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out fast. However, I wouldn't mind waiting longer if it meant the food would have some flavor. None of the meat seemed to be seasoned at all. I had dishes with bland chicken and beef. I thought it would be helpful to add salsa to at least make the food edible but the salsa was not good either. Even the spicy salsa was not in the least bit spicy nor flavorful. This will definitely be my first and last visit to this establishment.
My server barely spoke to me and acted as if I was an inconvenience throughout the entire meal. I had to stop them to ask for every step of service- drinks, appetizers, entrees- the only thing she brought promptly was the bill. Meanwhile, everyone around me was being served. All the tables around me that were sat after me received their food and drinks first. It was just me and a young daughter- i got the feeling the server did not appreciate having a child on her section. I made sure to clean everything up very thoroughly and left the server the tips she earned. Food was fine, nothing special. Margarita was huge but extremely weak. It barely tasted like it had any tequila at all and cost $15. There are too many awesome Mexican restaurants in toledo to waste your time here. Check out Pollo Loco on the other side if the river. Not only are their food and drinks awesome, but their staff makes you feel like they actually want your business.
