Our group stopped in for the first time after visiting Toledo Spirits. We had a great visit and will definitely be returning. The chill vibe, cool basement location and delicious beer offerings made our experience memorable. In this visit we also ordered food (food menu is shared between Toledo Spirits and Heavy Beer Co). We absolutely loved the Hot Beef sandwich and ended up ordering 4 of them. We also loved the Spicy Pickle flatbread. The smoked chicken flatbread was good and the Queso Nachos were odd (not sure if it was intentional but all items on the nachos were cold- including the vegan cheese sauce so it made them off putting, we did not discuss with the server but I’m confident if we had she would have taken care of any issues). I wish I remembered to take photos of the beer menu and flights. Everything was great, we will be back and we recommend Heavy Beer Co to others!

Some of the beer is good. No screens, which is great. Music is sometimes much. Hot beef is wonderful. I love that it's in the basement. Feels like the Irish pubs of lore. And by the way, this place beats the Blarney mostly for its atmosphere.Yet, the staff are lacking in hospitality. I get this is in "the hospitality industry," but those two words don't belong together. If you aren't hospitable with your own home, why would you be at work? All I mean is there could be some smiling, some "how'd ye do?"s, some cheer, because drinking good beer is sad otherwise. Welcome the orphan and widow into your doors and kill em with kindness, as they say.

We came here for the pinball, so I haven't tried the beer (not a beer fan). The space is pretty cool as I t's in a basement of a large distillery and the bartender was really nice. They had a small but very tasty sounding menu so we will have to come back and try the food. I wish there were more TVs to be able to watch the game.

Beer and atmosphere was good but when a different bartender took over we were completely ignored. Was never asked if we wanted another round or anything else. Disappointed in the service.

Kinda average college bar type, decent selection of beers if you like beer. I like its vibe, kind of like a hidden secret. Not a lot of comfortable seating.

Not many people were here when we visited. We were able to play pinball by ourselves and have a couple drinks. It was a good time. The bartender was nice and helpful, apologetic when he had to say the black IPA was sold out. The other two drinks we had were good though. We have a reason to return now, and are glad to!

The Tofu Sofrito Bahn Mi was loaded with flavor and packed with delicious veggies!!!The Black Metal - Black IPA was exactly what I was in the mood for and hit the spot. The service was spectacular, fast and wonderfully pleasant. I'm ready to go back for more great food and drink!
Solid lineup of beers with something new always coming down the chute. Something for everyone down here!

My son took me here for the first time. Enjoyed the laid back enjoy my beer atmosphere. The Good Luck Irish Stout was tasty. But the Black Metal IPA was definitely delicious and my kind of beer! Well done guys!!!!

The new brewery at Oak Opening: Awesome location, wonderful ambience, but it is a brewery and as such, really should have beer, i.e.,SOLD OUT SOLD OUT SOLD OUT.I will be happy to revise my review once they get some beer.
