Our group stopped in for the first time after visiting Toledo Spirits. We had a great visit and will definitely be returning. The chill vibe, cool basement location and delicious beer offerings made our experience memorable. In this visit we also ordered food (food menu is shared between Toledo Spirits and Heavy Beer Co). Some of the beer is good. No screens, which is great. Music is sometimes much. Hot beef is wonderful. I love that it's in the basement. Feels like the Irish pubs of lore. And by the way, this place beats the Blarney mostly for its atmosphere.Yet, the staff are lacking in hospitality. I get this is in "the hospitality industry," but those two words don't belong together. If you aren't hospitable with your own home, why would you be at work? We came here for the pinball, so I haven't tried the beer (not a beer fan). The space is pretty cool as I t's in a basement of a large distillery and the bartender was really nice. They had a small but very tasty sounding menu so we will have to come back and try the food. I wish there were more TVs to be able to watch the game.
