Very good food, can't go wrong...breakfast, brunch or lunch ? it's all good. Very good service, feels like home. Owners are very nice & engages with guests they make sure you're satisfied.
We were visiting Toledo for few hours and wanted to eat at a Black-owned restaurant. After a brief Google search, The Hot Box Bistro looked appealing so we decided to go there.Upon entering, the atmosphere was not what we anticipated. The name invokes images of a quaint, classy eatery. What we got leaned more towards "greasy spoon." (That's old school.) Had the Chicken Philly. Added lettuce and tomatoes. Only draw back was THEY HEATED THE LETTUCE AND TOMATOES? With that I have to say sandwich was decent, nothing spectacular and the fries were ok.
