Ventura's Mexican Restaurant

Anyone hating this restaurant was not eating at the Venturas that I have loved since the 70. Granted, it might not be that authentic, but their beef and bean super nachos are ordered by many ptas their whole entree; they are that good. I no longer live in Toledo, but I always try to go to Venturas whenever I get back there. The margaritas are insanely great :-)

I had a Chicken Chimichanga that was the worst. It wasn't crispy because they microwaved it. The cheese was stuck to the place. I got less than a tablespoon of lettuce on my plate. This was one and done, hated it!

Mediocre service. Server did not return to inquire if food was satisfactory.
Chimichanga and burito were served at room temperature. The chili was good awful.

My wife and I were in town visiting and saw that Ventura's was highly rated Mexican Restaurant. To put it as nice as I can, the Mexican food was not what we where expecting. The food was american cafe style at best, definitely not mexican food.

We had a group of 20 with only one waitress today! Her name was Candice, and she did an excellent job tending to us all.
No one had to wait long for drinks or food! Great Job Candice Venturas is lucky to have you on their team! 💪

Cajun chicken nachos and potato skins are excellent that's usually what we get when we go there with a side of white queso cheese
