We found Ventura's through the Toledo Foodie Cards and are so happy we did! The unique atmosphere was perfect for us, the history was fun to learn, the food was delicious with great portion sizes, and the service was great!
It was so crowded and loud mostly due to a large party I believe. The food wasn't great. They were definitely understaffed. We were seated right next to the door and it was freezing. Horrible experience. They seemed more interested in moving people out than taking care of the customers.
Anyone hating this restaurant was not eating at the Venturas that I have loved since the 70. Granted, it might not be that authentic, but their beef and bean super nachos are ordered by many ptas their whole entree; they are that good. I no longer live in Toledo, but I always try to go to Venturas whenever I get back there. The margaritas are insanely great :-)
