Just love this place. It so hard to find doughnuts don't have that artificial flavoring taste anymore. In the variety in selection they have is amazing. Highly highly highly recommend going to the bakery.

Wixey's is one of Toledo's long time, high quality bakeries and there's only a few of those left. I have my favorites and over the years I've never been disappointed with the donut's and pastries. Friendly and courageous service with all that old time neighborhood fell.

Let me start with back story to lead up to how wonderful this bakery is! They gained a forever customer! My older children lost their dad a year ago (2/19/23). His birthday was 2/18. He lived in Alabama and Mardis Gras was his favorite. My children wanted to have king cake in memory of their dad. I had seen one at some local grocery stores, but was too soon to buy. By the time I needed one, there wasn’t one available. I called several grocery stores and bakeries. I then called Wixey Bakery. They had one King Cake that was never picked up on the Tuesday before. They said they would give it to me, since it had been a few days and wasn’t at its freshest. They suggested heating in the microwave for softness.We had the cake that Sunday. It was perfect! Didn’t need to heat up. Perfect flavoring of cinnamon, strawberry, and cream cheese!! This really made my children’s day we will definitely be back to this bakery!!

Nice staff and they have great tasting doughnuts they have plenty of other offerings that look tasty also but I've only had the doughnuts.
Interior looked dingy and grimy (it’s in “old south” Toledo and directly across from a dope shop ? - first red flag). Purchased a half dozen iced sugar cookies and they were horrendous; dry, stale, and totally flavorless. Do better Wixey; educate yourselves about ingredients, care about your customers and make a better product.
