Update: I spoke with Elliot and we had a very good conversation over the phone and even better at the restaurant. He invited us back and it was a totally different experience. Ashlee (sp) was our server/bartender as she was picking up tables all over the restaurant. She was very personable and on top of her service. You could see that they were still short staffed but the team that worked that evening was on top of it. Elliot was very kind and professional and has true hospitality...

We were here for my step-dad's birthday, at his choice. Hadn't been to an Applebee's in over 6 years. Same friendly neighborhood atmosphere I remember. The food quality was great for the most part, except that step-dad's ribs weren't "fall off the bone" as he preferred, but the flavor was still good. Portion sizes were fantastic, none of us could finish our dinners, which is fine because it just made for a yummy lunch the next day. Service was...
