Great food. Would be nice if the staff would acknowledge your existence when you arrive. Just because you are busy, does not mean you cannot greet your customers and let them know someone will be with you in a moment. Has happened every single time we have been there.

This became one of my favorite restaurants! Small mom and pop place, waitresses are super nice, food is fantastic. This has become a Sunday tradition. I either go for breakfast or early lunch.

First time here this morning. The geotta was cooked perfectly. Loved the biscuits and gravy. We really enjoyed breakfast Will be coming back to try the fish. Service was excellent.

I'm visiting the Cincinnati area for a few days and was looking for a local restaurant for lunch. The hotel recommended The Wooden Barrel, which was a 10 minute drive away.

Although the parking lot and restaurant were full, I got a seat right away. There were lots of families here.

I ordered the sausage and sauerkraut, which came with two sides and a dinner roll for $14.99. Portions were large, and the food was delicious.

It was a homey atmosphere with good service. If you're going, check their hours online, because they're only open til 3pm on certain days of the week.
