“The bar manager, Olivia, was incredible. The bartender/s erver, Evan, working with her was also superb. Drinks were balanced in a way that left no complaints, and the service was friendly, as if I had known them prior to our experience. I won’t post anything in detail about the establishment (keeping it a true speak easy) but I will be talking about it to everyone who will listen. I will definitely be back.“

“The menu offers a great variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees. Service and staff are efficient, professional, courteous, and just plain on top of their roles. It is a great atmosphere and extremely well managed! Great job, all who participated in serving a party of 16 on Sunday!“

“Delicious food and a variety of dinners on Fridays. Great prices on food and drinks. Love their salads and potato pancakes. O’Cevapi is another favorite and the steaks are out of this world. Great pork dishes as well and never dry with plenty of flavor. Drinks are simple, but a great price.“
“Went there with 11 other family members! The people were Awsome, they greeted you with open arms! We all came from a wedding the night before! I ordered a water and everyone at the bar broke out laughing and speaking in a different language! I broke out laughing myself!🤷♂️🍻 Food was awesome, never had any of it before.Very nice people! “Thank you for being my favorite bar in ohio I discovered on my own randomly over a year ago!💜 You guys always do a good job with trivia & music bingo & the themed DJ party things. Most trivias are things I am interested in such as star wars,pokemon,disney and a lot more. Most music bingos has my favorite genres like rock, pop,alternative and more. I enjoy the shirley temples & pretzel bites very much. The servers are always sweethearts in my eyes. I am thankful for them & the good cooks there. I am very happy to run into this place. I literally walked in a random day completely down about my life trying to open myself up again slowly & this place literally adds sunshine in my life. It has made my life a lot better. It has a lot of games I enjoy so much. I love sharing this place to everyone I know and it's my go to place that I love to reccomend by word all connections to check it out. :)“

“This was my first time at the Play-Away. This is a great place! We had good drinks, excellent food and the Bar was so nice to enjoy Keno, etc. They have pool tables and many TV screens Nancy is a very good Barmaid! I will be going back here!! ??“
“Great, great, great family-owned bar. Full bar, draft and bottled beer, but I didn't check the wine list. I did see a lady with what looked like wine. Great jukebox! You pick from what the owners like, but they have good taste and there were a bunch of free songs when I went there. It's like a family reunion at your fun uncle's house. Since I am usually the fun uncle, I am jealous but in the best way. Bags of chips behind the bar was the food I saw. Cash only, there was an ATM. Great drink prices. Will return to this great bar when I return to Cleveland.“

“This is a great bar, went there for a show this past weekend.
It has a great atmosphere with great personnel on staff.
The main concert area is great, and the back room is very nice for hanging out away from the crowd, especially with the wood burning oven back there!“

“I had never been to Black Forest before - no reason, just hadn't. But when they placed 3rd in the Best Burger contest last week, I had to check it out. Met the mighty Francis McGarry for a sales meeting and dinner. They were NOT lying about the burger - FANtastic. Staff were friendly and the owner stopped by and chatted. Bingo in the next room had the place packed, but it wasn't loud - they just sounded like they were having a blast. I Highly Recommend Black Forest for great food, and great people. Definitely 5 stars🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖“
“I've been going to this place since the late 1980s. I know they've had different owners. Jack the most recent owner is a good guy. I'm not much of a drinker, he always welcomed me in. It's a fun place! Nostalgic! The ultimate local neighborhood bar!“

I was looking for a fun and family friendly place at an affordable price and it was all of that and more! Katie the GM was awesome and super easy to work with. Everything went seamlessly!!! “Listen ! We went this past Saturday . The service was beyond what I would say is amazing. Everyone had good attitude, energy and was just welcoming. I drove 3 hours for a birthday brunch. The food yes it was a wait but it was worth every single minute. Everything was delicious! We definitely will come back again.“

“Went here for a birthday party—a private affair, if you will. Hulk Hogan had just died. Steve Miller and the J. Geils Band was blasting and the Yuenglings were flowing. The ten TV screens were showing a variety of horse races and the Tour de France (this was in LATE July, so you can’t really blame them). Parking was adequate. This was a pickleball and slide-on shoes crowd, and it was spectacular. Would return for the 60th birthday party if it’s held here.“

“Julia was amazing and super sweet , julie who was super kind to our two kids gave them crayons and noise canceling head phones to keep the kids happy while we got to enjoy our time as guest with our friends. “was there tonight for dinner we had horrible service first we had to ask for our server to come take our order. second person ordered an iced tea she put lemon which he could not have due to cancer.she pulled the lemon off the glass then we told her he needed a fresh glass her facial expression said it all .I asked for a water 3 times she finally brought it the whole glass went on the table and me and my phone at this point it was clear she did not want to wait on us so someone else brought out our food she did Apologize but it was to the point where it was so clear that for some reason she did not want to wait on us and everything we asked for we seem to be bothering her I finally spoke up she did not charge us for a food which she did not have to do but it was a very unpleasant dinner and we were there for someone's birthday“
“While this may not be the most classy bar in town, they do have very reasonably priced adult beverages and attentive bartenders. Went there a couple Saturday nights ago for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Plan on hitting this place up again to quench my thirst!“
