“Thank you for being my favorite bar in ohio I discovered on my own randomly over a year ago!💜 You guys always do a good job with trivia & music bingo & the themed DJ party things. Most trivias are things I am interested in such as star wars,pokemon,disney and a lot more. Most music bingos has my favorite genres like rock, pop,alternative and more. I enjoy the shirley temples & pretzel bites very much. The servers are always sweethearts in my eyes. I am thankful for them & the good cooks there. I am very happy to run into this place. I literally walked in a random day completely down about my life trying to open myself up again slowly & this place literally adds sunshine in my life. It has made my life a lot better. It has a lot of games I enjoy so much. I love sharing this place to everyone I know and it's my go to place that I love to reccomend by word all connections to check it out. :)“

“was there tonight for dinner we had horrible service first we had to ask for our server to come take our order. second person ordered an iced tea she put lemon which he could not have due to cancer.she pulled the lemon off the glass then we told her he needed a fresh glass her facial expression said it all .I asked for a water 3 times she finally brought it the whole glass went on the table and me and my phone at this point it was clear she did not want to wait on us so someone else brought out our food she did Apologize but it was to the point where it was so clear that for some reason she did not want to wait on us and everything we asked for we seem to be bothering her I finally spoke up she did not charge us for a food which she did not have to do but it was a very unpleasant dinner and we were there for someone's birthday“

“One of the only true, original dive bars left in Mentor. Stopped in yesterday for the first time in over 25 years and I swear the place hasn't changed. Good cheeseburger still tops the menu. Don't go here if you're looking for a salad!“

“A small quiet place with some of the best food you’ll ever have. I absolutely love their hamburgers and fries which are freshly cooked not frozen! The lady with the long dark hair that works there is incredible and always makes you feel special. Also their drink and food prices are very reasonable making this bar/restaurant one of the most affordable in town.“

“Great corner bar with great bartenders“

“Spats is my kinda place. The first time I visited Spats, I saw a neon beer sign in the window and figured I’d grab a beer while I was waiting for my gf to finish her shopping. I was instantly met with the dive-bar/hole in the wall vibe. Spats did not disappoint! If that’s not what you’re looking for, you might try the dining area instead of the bar area, which has at least 10 TVs, so I assume it’s also a nice sports bar.

So I told my gf that we should come back sometime when we want to hang out. We did! There aren’t many vegetarian options, but you can get typical bar food, plus an extensive lunch/dinner menu. I tried the fried mushrooms. They were delicious! I see why some ppl don’t like the fries, but they were perfect for me. They were not greasy or cooked in recycled oil like some idiots claimed in their reviews. But yes, they’re typical of real potato fries: soft and limp, just the way I like them. But they were also a little bland. Nothing a little salt couldn’t fix. I also had the fried shrimp, which was fine. Cole slaw was OK. My gf liked her chicken salad. Portions are HUGE. I’ll be back to try other items on the menu. I’m giving it 5 stars to offset the idiots who gave it one. But overall, it’s probably 4.5 stars.“
