“What a complete joy to dine at Johnny's. The welcome from first entering into the place (to Bo & Joe & all the others making us feel like they were happily waiting for us to come),, to Nate's great serving and attitude to please —to the actual awesome puttanesca with shrimp and perfectly prepared salmon....why go anywhere else on a Friday in Lent! So grateful for the night!“
“I'm running out of wonderful things to say about Valerio's. It is our favorite Italian restaurant for good reason...the food is delicious, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient (especially Salvatore), and the service is excellent. It's the kind of place where you feel as if you are family!“
“We went around 1:30pm on March7th. Food was very good. Had wine and cocktails. Service was outstanding. Female server and she was probably the best server I have ever had. I would only recommend that there were more appetizers. Bread was outstanding as well as the croissants. Vegetarian dishes were very good as well as the Broccoli melt. We were able to find parking on the street.“
“Went to Simons Motorcars, wanted to get a new car for my birthday and sure enough met Reggie Dilsy and Ken. It took a few but it was worth it. Amazing guys , if you want a great experience got see Reggie Dilsy and your dreams will come true. Thank you guys and man I am so happy ? KEN AND REGGIE MAN THANKS THIS IS AN AMZING BIRTHDAY GIFT AND AN UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY .WOW“
“Heart of Gold has so far been the best bite to eat in Cleveland since I moved here from the South. The atmosphere is trendy but laid back with good lighting and a cute small bar. I really loved the menu design, it is very obvious that even the smallest details of this restaurant have been thought out.The overall menu has an interesting and cohesive direction that incorporates Southern and Italian food - which to me was very reminiscent of the kind of fare you'd find in a lunch spot in New Orleans - especially their Tiki drinks on offer. The service was wonderful; everyone was kind, helpful, and seemed excited about the food.We chose the Roman, the fried chicken sandwich, the waffle fries, and the onion rings with the house made ranch. The Roman is a solid sandwich where you can taste every part mentioned in the menu description. I thought all of the ingredients played well together and reminded me a bit of a muffeletta. The waffle fries were very good - I thought the everything seasoning was a very smart choice (the ridges in the fries hold the seasoning in place) and were perfect for dipping. The fry crispiness to fluffiness ratio was to me a perfect balance. My only complaint is that they tasted a little too much of oil.The onion rings were very surprising to me. They are to this date the best onion rings I've ever had. The breading was perfectly crispy and the onion stayed in place upon biting it - which is typically my main issue with onion rings. The sauce drizzled on top paired well with the sweetness with the onion, and the horsey sauce added the right amount of heat. The chicken sandwich was overall a good chicken sandwich. The bread and the maggi mayo punch above their weight and those alone make this a stand out. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. I personally think the chicken itself could use a little more flavor, but again that is only my taste.I can't wait to return to this restaurant and try the other items on the menu. Don't miss out on this place.“
“I try coming here every time I'm in the Cleveland area. The food here has never been a miss and the menu has a good and interesting variety of food for everyone to enjoy, I get something different every time. The food and drinks can be pricey though. The atmosphere is relaxed and causal with an urban flare to it. The restaurant is located in a great neighborhood with a awesome view of the city skyline. This place feels like a gem, I recommend checking it out.“
“We heard the drinks are amazing, but we ordered wine - it was good. We were celebrating a birthday and ended up seated by the kitchen - didn’t feel very special. We enjoyed the food - cauliflower appetizer - very indulgent! We also enjoyed the mussels, a shawarma wrap and a salad. Everything was good. The decor was fun and the vibe lively. I had a really hard time hearing during dinner - though the back room wasn’t full it was very loud. We didn’t linger….Vegetarian options: Salads, ravioli and a veggie burger were in the menu“
“Went there for my daughter's birthday. Enjoyed a great evening. Her food came out a bit late and though we were enjoying our time, they went out of their way to make it better - they bought a round of drinks, took her dinner off the tab and gave her a "Borgata" snow cap. In addition they had the whole place sing "Happy Birthday". Couldn't have had a better time or a better group of people running the place. Can't wait to go back.“
“The food is fabulous.Karen Small has done it again.I adore the lamb burger and the fries. While the menu is limited don't be fooled. Every item is very carefully prepared and first class.Vegetarian options: Roasted carrots, white bean hummus and Salad are all great choices.“
“This spit is a little out of my norm, but overall is fun! The food truck on the patio is awesome. The owner farms his meat and veggies! The service is excellent by the bar staff. The techno DJ is a bit much for me(only 1 if myn2 trips was there a DJ), but otherwise a fun little "dive" bar in Asia Town!“
“Best kept secret in Lake County. The food is off the charts and has been for quite a while now. it is a biker friendly bar. So, if you are offended easily or a little soft, this probably isn't for you. And the management is truly OK with that. But if you want truly stellar food and reasonably priced drinks, this is the place. Family types need not apply“
“January 2024: My husband and I were visiting the Cleveland area and were looking for something to do on a Wednesday night. I did a quick search of LIVE MUSIC TONIGHT and this club popped. It was their open mic night and we figured, what the heck. And we're so glad we went!At ages 59 and 69, we thought we'd be the oldest folks in the place but we were wrong. The club was packed with local musicians and music lovers of all ages and although not all of the acts were of profressional quality, it was a supportive and loving audience and much of the music was very good.If you live in the area, make it a regular stop. If visiting, add it to your MUST EXPERIENCE list of things to do.What a great little club! Rock on, Coda!“
“This place was really cool. There were tons of options to choose from for all kinds of levels of gamers. They have classics like monopoly and more complex games like scythe or gloomhaven. There's a great list of menu options for food or drinks while you.play your games. We didn't use them but the staff offered to suggest games a few times which would be great if you want to try something new or aren't sure what you'd like. Overall it was a great experience after my first time and I will definitely be coming back. The only thing I would say that could be negative is the noise and the wait times since it was very busy (though we went on a Saturday evening).Parking: Parking was interesting since the the cafe is in Cleveland. Most of it is street parking or some paid lots. If you park further away, there is definitely free street parking in residential areas. Or you can pay to park closer on the street or in a lot.“
“Come for a beer and shot but stay for the stories - if you're lucky enough to have a quiet afternoon when Shelia, her daughter, or her sister are behind the bar. You just might learn something about the colorful history of one of the last neighborhood joints in Tremont!“
“Went to Brick and Barrel on St. Patty’s day and it looked like a super cozy spot to drink some brews. We got their flight and sampled the different brews. They have a pizza place (different restaurant) next door that offers some delicious Italian pizza as well as other Italian food. They also had some sandwiches for St. Patty’s day! They serve some bar snacks inside and everyone is super warm and welcoming.“
“Great selection of craft-brewed beers, meads, sour beers, served by knowledgeable bartenders. Delicious small selection of food in the pop up "shack" in the back...mellow unpretentious atmosphere/large tables/no TVs. If this is your scene, highly recommend!Parking: Free parking at night in the lot at Washington and Lee“
“Everything about this place is top-notch! The drinks and mushroom burger were so good, and the vibe is there!! It’s a bonus that last call for food on weekends is 1am, this will definitely be my go-to spot for drinks and a late night biteVegetarian options: Mushroom burger, sides, drinks“
“Amazing, amazing gem of a restaurant! The food was delicious- we loved the calamari and pizza. The owner is very kind and generous- he made us feel very welcomed. The customer service is all about quality - and not quantity. Our waitress was also sweet and sincere. We felt very welcomed and will definitely be back again!“
“So let me just tell you this was above and beyond. I have been to several ‘tasting menu' restaurants in life and this may have surpassed my all time favorite in Denver! Our waitress was Kiera and she was an absolute blast. She was friendly and knowledgeable and made our dinner an experience. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac and my friend is a vegan ... not an eye was batted. Both of us enjoyed our own tasting menu catered to our needs! I cannot say enough good things about this because I have been to many places that force you to get the same menu! It was my very first time eating out after the diagnosis and let me tell you ... I am not worried about bit because all the food I was served was delicious ?“
“We go there a couple times a week. The steaks are awesome, the soups are always homemade, and the pizza is a thin, cauliflower crust pizza. Its a delicious pizza.Every week there is a different special as well as the regular menu. The owners Tom and Jessica, are locally grown. They are great to talk with. The bartenders know their alcohol, and are always helpful if you want to try something different.During the summer months there is a nicely landscaped, outdoor patio.Stop in and support your local business.Parking: You pull your car into the back and park between the white lines. Not sure what else there is tell.Ha.Kid-friendliness: There is a separate dining room and bar area.Who doesn’t like kids? They are always welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Electric wheel chair elevator.“
“It was a brisk evening in the city, and we were desperate to warm our souls. A few hours to spare before our concert, this was the nourishment we longed for. The music thumped and sparkled, while the room felt warm like home. Simple is king! Small food and drink menu with no complaints. I weap for the missing star: In these lean times, it would be tough to frequent.“
“The place was very cool and the drinks were excellent. But the bartender watched us walk in and left. He went into the small kitchen and started doing dishes for 5 or 10 minutes before coming back to the bar to serve us a drink. Very odd to just leave people allowed in the bar like that. But he was friendly and made a great drink. Also we were the only ones there so bartender leaving didn't make any sense.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Great beer selection on draft and excellent bourbon selection. Various fresh sausage ? from across the street.. live music and guardians games..Vegetarian options: NoKid-friendliness: NoParking: Next to and behindWheelchair accessibility: It's workable“
“The Beachwood Truck Bar not only serves up fantastic drinks but invites you to bring your own food for a personalized feast. The laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff make it a top pick for those seeking a relaxed, flavor-packed experience.“
“This is our favorite classic local bar and grill in the entire region, the history here is awesome and the ownership/leadership good people. Not only is the food excellent (best wings around but only on Wednesdays). The environment inside will amaze you.A truly “hometown haunt” where you can meet and chat with authentic and honest folks, while having the kids with you as a family weekly event. The craft beer selection is ALWAYS on point and unique.“
“It was cozy and intimate. The beer was ice cold and the drinks were strong and cheap. The crowd was a mix of the artistic people you find in SoHo and working-class folks. We went for a comedy show, poetry reading and live performance from Will Cherry - who was amazing. The staff was super friendly, the service was great and the energy was both electric and laid back.“
“Blue Agave Cleveland, an amazing place that you should absolutely try. Great food and the margaritas were terrific. Try street tacos and Mezcal-Rita. Decor looked great and service was amazing. Our server Kristela was amazing, patient and sweet. Thank you blue agave! Definitely a great experience.“
“This place is beautiful! They didn’t spare on detail that’s for sure. We were lucky enough to be able to sit on the upper level. Our server was super friendly and attentive.I had the interview with a vampire cocktail, it was one of my faves so far. My brother had a manhattan he enjoyed thoroughly. We started with the frog legs. They were thick! Great seasonings and the dip was on point. The cabbage was different. We also ordered the seafood gumbo although I’m pretty positive they brought me the normal gumbo because I didn’t see or taste any seafood in it. It was like a beef stew. Not bad but not what I expected. For dinner I had the shrimp and grits. It was SO good. The bread is exemplary too I could have ate two more loaves of it with my drinks. The dish was pretty decent sized. My brother got the blackened salmon. It was seasoned well and the cups of sauces were wonderful especially the garlic butter one.For desert I had the apple bread pudding and WOW was that a good choice!!10/10 recommend checking this one out! We went to the one in Tremont, I believe I overheard another table talking about one in Cleveland somewhere, too.Either way this place is wonderful. Next time I’m definitely getting the jambalaya.Parking: There is a parking lot at some library, you have to hang a right at the corner to find that lot. It was a bit confusing and a small lot, but parking is sparse in that area. It is what it is.“
“Their website is outdated as they do not serve food anymore. The man behind the bar is super friendly. Chill even, vibing. The overall feel of the place is pretty nice. It is.... rather expensive for their cider though.... It was tasty for sure. It's so expensive though you don't really have much of a choice but to slowly sip it otherwise you'll spend $90 in 10 minutes.I would have loved to stay longer than I did. But 3.5 (they have a half glass size) glasses between 3 people and a mild tip was 40$“
“If you're looking for the cozy, coffee shop of bars, this is your place. The drinks are fantastic, AND the atmosphere is the real jewel here. This place feels like home away from home. Offering a warm, inviting space for conversation or reflection year-round and a cute, little patio great for enjoying another's company or doing a little people watching in the warmer months, The Whiskey Bar does not disappoint. Oh, and you'll often be pleasantly surprised by some live music or snacks that will only brighten an already wonderful time!“
“They place does not serve any food nor snacks, but you are welcome to bring food in. Has a lot of beverage options if you're a drinker. Very nice atmosphere. You can bring the kids before 9pm or have a date night after 9pm. If you love games, great place to have fun with everyone.Vegetarian options: No foodDietary restrictions: No FoodParking: Very difficult to find parking. Do not park your car in Dave's supermarket your car will be towed.Kid-friendliness: Kid Friendly“
“Most notable is the calamari. It’s the best my family has tried that isn’t on the coast. Cooked very well but not too well done and with a crispy breading.Prices might be considered in the upper range but the food quality and friendly service is worth it. Our food came very fast. The drink menu is overwhelmingly abundant. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. Our waitress Krystal made sure that we were taken care of and that our food was good, checking on us in a timely manner. She gave us a tour of the menu and her own personal recommendations, much appreciated.Fruit was fresh, vegetables were cooked well done and tasted really good, tiramisu wasn’t soggy or too dry. All of the food we tried was really good, from the steak, to the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and the club. Thanks for the great food and service!“
“Nice little Bar that has been in business for 32 years. Clean and comfortable. This past St. Patrick's Day, the line was out the door for their corned beef sandwiches. I hear their food is pretty good. Will check out the mushroom swiss burger soon.“
“It’s always a fun time at The Fairmount! Food and drinks are delicious. I would recommend if you’re coming with a group to call ahead and make a reservation as the place is pretty much always packed in the evenings. We’ve done multiple times and they have both indoor and outdoor dining. The patio is very nice and dog friendly.“
“Nothing fancy, but a nice local place w good food. Plenty of tables w a large bar. Fish fry was loved by our whole table. The owner stopped by our table and was extremely friendly and interested to hear our opinions on the dinners. We'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.“
“I'm from down South and I came up on vacation. It's a hood spot with some older people, but it's chill. I didn't get food but when I walked in my lights were still on, the security told me when they didn't go off after a few minutes. The bartender made my drink quickly and the owner checked the quality and even added another shot on the house. I was laughing and didn't feel from out of town.“
“The Ledger Bar is a small (I mean small) bar situated on the balcony that overlooks the Metropolitan at the 9's Hotel Lobby. Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.“
“Great place to hang out. Clean, interesting and fun!Beers are $8-$11 and did not see any food options available.Arcade cabinets are $.25 and pinball is $1Mini NES and Sega classic available for free with comfy chairs.Plenty of other games available like ring throwing and bocce ball“
“We hosted a private event here for our team outing, and I cannot say enough good things about this venue! The food was fantastic, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere brought such a fun and energetic vibe. You get a lot of bang for your buck as well! I highly recommend, and thank you to Shana and Patrick for creating a wonderful experience for our team to enjoy!“
“Thomas, our server, was wonderful. Great recommendations and attention to our table. There was a lobster tail special with risotto that 2 in our party ordered. The other 2 ordered the filet mignon. We were able to make our own surf and turfs. Everything was delicious.“
“Small restaurant with a limited, but tasty and reasonably priced menu with a spattering of unique offerings. Perfect for a quick bite & some wine. I hear their ribs are great, but we weren't hungry enough for that. AJ was very helpful recommending something light & quick (they were closing in 40 minutes) for dinner. He suggested an Italian wine which my husband said was fantastic. Food was made to order with attentive service. They have a large wine menu and an amazing selection of wines by the bottle in the adjoining room. We will come back on a Saturday for their rib special.“
“What a lovely little spot! I'm all about a good dive bar and we found the best one in Cleveland! Sherry & Simone were so welcoming, it felt like home. A pool table & curated jukebox were great additions and although we didn't eat (Sloppy Joes $4), I'm sure they were delicious. Inexpensive, charming & the visit left me with a huge smile on my face, knowing this was one of those special places. Can't say enough good things, just an all around great time. This place is a real as it gets. If you are in Cleveland, pay them a visit, tell em Patti from Philly sent you. ??“
“Did not have a great experience for the happy hour bar. Both drinks we had were subpar at best. Horrible, actually.Food and service at the table were outstanding. All food came out fresh and hot . The bar fills up very quickly, and there are certainly better places to have a drink close by.“
“What a great family owned Mexican Restaurant! The prices are very affordable! They have a huge menu! I recommend the dessert chimichonga! It's fried with cheesecake in the center! My Husband had the tilapia with shrimp & I had the chimichonga dinner with rice, beans, guacamole and Mexican salad! We will definitely be back! My Husband also had the Mexican street corn that was out of this world!“
“Everyone here is so cool. Whenever I don't feel like going to funhouse (because we've been there a million times that month) and want another laid-back bar, Social Room is the go-to. The bartender knows my drink whenever I come in and she's so sweet and bubbly! The wait time is nonexistent, the patio is real cute, and there are a billion restaurants over here if you want food before or after drinks. Plenty of parking too, very stressfree experience overall.“
“We split the two medallion special, which was cooked as ordered and could be cut with a butter knife (no steak knife required). The broccoli was tender, but not soft. The food came out promptly. We ate in the main dining area., which was quiet. All in all, we had a very enjoyable evening.“
“We have an absolutely amazing time every time we eat here! Perfect for a romantic, late night reservation with a group of 6 or less. Kitchen closes at 9 so get your order in- but the waitress told us right away so we didn't miss it! Great recommendations and waitress very knowledgeable about specials and favorites. GLUTEN FREE chicken breading options as well!!!!!! 10/10“
