To many changes and not for the better
Our office in Howland recently had the pleasure of indulging in a scrumptious feast from Charlie Staples and Pitt Boss BBQ, and we were thoroughly impressed!
The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a rich, smoky sauce that complemented their perfectly charred exterior. The wings were equally impressive, with just the right amount of spice and a crispy skin that had us reaching for seconds.

I hosted my sister, TWYLA LOCKETT's, Repast in December of 2022. The food, service and hospitality was wonderful. Mr. and Mrs. Staples were very nice, professional and accommodating. I am still receiving compliments.

The full slab with mild pit boss sauce features a thinner sauce with a pepper rub, and the chicken dinner with staples mild sauce has meat cooked well. Staples sauce stands true to taste. However, some reviews note issues: the mac n cheese was very dry, coleslaw was bland, and the saucy bread was missed. One order took an hour after being told 20-30 minutes and was missing chicken, with the packer not mentioning the shortage. Another order of a 4 piece chicken combo was cold, with baked beans, fries, and chicken; the chicken skin was off, wrong sauce was applied, and the cook was criticized for incorrect orders. Despite this, service can be top notch, and the inside is clean. The BBQ is unique and a little different. A bar side is available for dine-in when one side is closed.
