Family-owned and well-managed, they’ve mastered the art of quick, fresh, and flavorful meals. From phone call to pickup is usually less than 15 minutes. The taco salad is epic, the sampler guarantees a happy-food coma, and I keep hearing rave reviews about the burgers. “Located directly across from the Hard Rock Casino, and adjacent to Catoosa high school, the location makes it a busy stop for lunch and late night visitors. My visit today was for an early Sunday breakfast (0900); we had our fill of inflated casino meal pricing and knew that IHOP would deliver the goods at half the price.

Grounds/Parking: grounds are immaculate, not sure if the grounds are integrated with the shopping center, but kudos for landscaping, and a clean large parking area. Most IHOP parking lots on Sunday morning are littered with Saturday night beer cans and trash, someone had this place spotless at 0900; good job !

Interior: Standard IHOP seating, however the building has large bay windows on three sides, lots of natural light which brightens the usual drab IHOP interiors. Interior, like the exterior, was clean, no sticky tables or seating, empty tables are bussed and cleaned promptly.

Food: We ordered the true and tried “quick breakfast”: Eggs over easy, bacon, pancakes, Pot of Coffee. Order was received promptly, and food was delivered hot. Although the food was good, the portions have shrunk, considerably, since our last visit six months ago. The eggs are small, bacon tiny, my spouses sausages look like Vienna cocktail wieners. Pancakes were normal, but the syrup was unmarked and contained some generic “goo” (I’m from Vermont, so I’m usually Karen-picky about fake syrup). Coffee was okay. I had to mark down the rating from a five to a four because of the serving sizes, perhaps this is unfair as the portion size reduction was likely a corporate decision, and the IHOP locations are forced to buy from the “company store”.

Service: A bit lackluster. Waitress was not very friendly, but it’s an early Sunday morning shift and no one is too “Flo” bubbly at that hour. She did take our order promptly, order was accurate, and checkout fast and painless; all is forgiven.

Overall I recommend this place for road warriors, but especially for casino patrons that want a decent meal without the casino extracting your remaining cash. The food size portions have taken a hit, likely corporate wide, but it’s still a good value compared to the casino, or the “popular” breakfasts places with an hour long waitlist.“

“We visit all the time! We prefer the 71st location because they always remember us, very welcoming and always take the time to visit with us and….. the food is always great! My son recently got married and they had 3 T’s cater the reception. Eddie and his staff went above and beyond what we expected. He brought 2 amazing servers with him and they worked fast, hard, were very accommodating, kept things very clean, organized and hustled all night! They even cut and plate the wedding cake for the guests. Eddie also helped bartending for the night! We highly recommend them!“

“I chose Los Cabos in Tulsa for a small getaway, mainly because of the reviews and photos — it looked so beautiful and Instagram-worthy. When I arrived, the building looked exactly like the pictures: charming, festive, and decorated wonderfully for the holidays. The exterior has a hacienda-style design that looks gorgeous, and I’m pretty sure there’s a lake or small lagoon next to it. I visited at night during the cold season, but I can imagine how beautiful the view must be in the summer with the windows open and the outdoor balcony-style area.

Inside, the décor continues with a Mexican hacienda vibe, and with the Christmas decorations it feels like a warm hotel-lobby atmosphere. There’s a wishing fountain, a bar, and a spacious entrance area. Everything is beautifully arranged and well thought out. The staff was incredibly kind and very well trained — the service was excellent from the start. We were seated near one of the large windows overlooking the water, and even at night, the view was lovely. Overall, the place itself is truly stunning.

Now, about the food — as someone born and raised in Mexico, I didn’t find it to be authentic Mexican cuisine. It leans more toward Tex-Mex. I can’t say it wasn’t good, because it was tasty, but it didn’t give me that familiar, traditional feeling. It’s simply a different style.

With that said, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to Americans or anyone who enjoys Tex-Mex dishes in a beautiful setting. But for Mexicans looking for traditional flavors from home, this might not be the best match.“
