Colcord, Oklahoma, more than just a wide spot in the road. It is dynamic. It has two, dollar stores, a nail salon and spa, and a beauty shop. On the other end of town there is the G&D One Stop station corner store.

The pizza at the Corner Post is made fresh when you order it, well kind of. They start with a frozen precooked crust, (thin crust for me), then cover it with tomato sauce, cheese, and for my small pizza, Italian sausage. It comes out hot and fast; on the table in minutes. I ate about 2/3. The left overs rode home. I judge a pizza by how good the leftovers taste, cold, straight from the refrigerator the next day. It was a tasty pizza. My wife got a very good burger with skinny fresh cut fries. Check the pictures.

Did I see you snarl your nose up when you read “frozen precooked crust.” Well, if you live in Colcord, and want a pizza here are your options. Go to the Family Dollar, buy a frozen Red Barron pizza; take it home and bake it. Or, you can go to Dollar General, buy a frozen Tony’s pizza; take that home, and bake it. Or you can go to G&D, on the other end of town, buy a bag of pizza flavored Doritos, a carton of chocolate milk, a pack of Marlboro Reds; then walk back home. None of these options are appealing, in these 100 plus degree days of Oklahoma heat. Easy choice, I’m going for a pizza at the Corner Post.

Corner Post is aptly named. The little red brick structure is the old Colcord post office building; which is located where? On the corner. Their menu is surprisingly large. All the fast-food favorites that you would expect to find in a small-town Pizza/Burger joint, at small-town prices. The little place is as clean as a post office. The service is friendlier and more efficient. No one is going “Postal” here. Everyone keeps their cool with a vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry shake, a cone or a float. How about a root beer float?

So, there you have it, Colcord, Oklahoma.

There will likely be someone in town in disagreement with this review. So, in all fairness, and for clarification; Doritos and chocolate milk, can make a tasty combination of flavors; before, after, or even with a Marlboro Red hanging from your lip.

“On a Sunday afternoon it was not very busy. The worker let my kids have a taste of the different flavored pearls as they decided what they wanted to order. There was comfortable seating and fun table games to play while we waited for our five drinks. Mad Gab was great to entertain us for a while. The drinks were all yummy and everyone left happy. My kids can’t wait to go there again!”

“It was very delicious and different compared to many other Mexican restaurants. at first I was disappointed there was no cheese dip, but everything was so good that I didn't care. lol. the owner was wonderful to us. even being Thanksgiving, they treated us great and seemed to appreciate us coming in. i will be back”

“The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. I explained my complicated Starbucks order and decided to give this place a shot instead—and I’m so glad I did. She went above and beyond to make sure my drink was exactly how I wanted it. I honestly think this place is my new favorite. It’s even cheaper than Starbucks, which is a huge bonus!

“We went there March 6th and a guy took our drink order and then five minutes later a woman came by and said he must have forgotten to get our drinks so she rebook our order. The person I was with got some steak and after about 15 minutes of waiting they informed us they were out of that steak. The chicken tasted like the oil had been used to fry fish.”

“The employees at this location are always friendly and engaging with customers every single time I stop. Even during rush hours! They always ask how my day has gone or what my plan for the day is. When work is mentioned they always follow up by asking what I do for work. They truly enjoy getting to know repeat customers. Tonight the young man was very helpful with suggestions on what 7energys are personal favorites or popular as it was my first time trying the 7energy drinks.”

I love TORY, She makes you feel so welcome. I love all her products. I am currently hooked on the Keylime pie protein shake with Pro Lessa add-on, which helps curb your appetite and burns fat. I add extra protein and a probiotic!! Go try them out! They have products you can buy even to make shakes Or teas at your house and even sweet treats that are protein packed low on sugar, protein, balls, protein bars, go in there and check out everything she has to offer. “On on visit to Siloam Springs we came across Cafe on Broadway. We ordered the Strawberry salad for lunch and they were helpful with our need to be gluten and dairy free. They have inside and outdoor seating. If you dine inside you will be welcomed to their eclectic style and piles of board game.”

“This is a cool place. I met some Brazilian dude with a red sword. He's very chill. I also ate some sandwiches with him. But I didn't bring any money, so he took out his red sword and slayed my left arm and destroyed my right eye. I saw big cars outside, the Brazilian dude let me go and called me a "lucky devil", after that he fled. It's a good thing that I can still see though...”

“First Cup This morning I had my first cup of this day at the Ground Floor Café on the beautiful campus of John Brown University. El Socorro Honey Maracaturra from Guatemala. A delicate, sweetly tart with juicy, high-toned acidity..., a lively cup indeed. Here is the description from Olympia Coffee. “Honey Processing leaves a bit of coffee cherry intact after pulping, skipping fermentation altogether and allowing the coffee cherry's natural sugars to marinate into the bean while sun drying. The result is a lush, fruiter version of what is already one of Guatemala’s greatest coffees.” Olympia Coffee. To be crystal clear, it is my earnest opinion that there is not a better place in our immediate territory for a finer cup of coffee than the Ground Floor. The staff are simply the best. Their commitment to consistency, the highest quality of process, without compromise is outstanding. I can lead a horse to the trough, I cannot force the horse to drink. “For those who 'have' to eat at the Caf, we get it. But for faculty, staff, or community members who choose or pay to eat there it's a different experience. It's had the best salad bar in town for years not to mention the many other options. The actual vendor can change from year to year, I believe it's currently Pioneer. I think they have been one of the best food service providers so far!”

“We stayed here because we were in the area for a funeral. This is a nice hotel. It was quiet and clean ( except for the cabinet area where the refrigerator area was was worn on the inside and the refrigerator either wasn’t working or not turned on. We were there on a Sunday night only. Restaurant wasn’t open but the food court was with a variety of food. We ate at the Mexican grill and were satisfied either food and portions. If you are going for the casino, I really don’t gamble so can only tell what I observed. The casino seemed fairly typical. There was smoking in the main casino which kelp me out of the area for the most part. I did go into the “non smoking “ area which was a medium sized room. Aparrently they have entertainment there sometime but not when we were there. Overall I would recommend this hotel”

We laughed about it together, And she let me keep the drink that she had first handed me And got me the correct One without issue. She was so incredibly friendly, and as always with this location, the food was great. This is a great Taco Bell to stop at if you’re on the go!”
