“On a Sunday afternoon it was not very busy. The worker let my kids have a taste of the different flavored pearls as they decided what they wanted to order. There was comfortable seating and fun table games to play while we waited for our five drinks. Mad Gab was great to entertain us for a while. The drinks were all yummy and everyone left happy. My kids can’t wait to go there again!”

“Stumbled on this place on our way from NWA to Tulsa. It was FANTASTIC. The food was so fresh and locally sourced. You can tell everything is prepped daily. Coffee was a high quality brew. Pricing was great. Costumer service was five stars. Highly recommend!”

“I have been coming to the cafe since 2006 when I moved here originally. Used to be THE PLACE my friends and I would gather in high school and college. It has changed a lot over the years, and though I’m loving the new facelift, would love to see some of the originals brought back. The OG tomato basil soup with croissant was the absolute best tomato soup I’ve ever had. Miss the croissants. Miss the flawless Java chip! Miss the tuna melt and LOVE the cilantro ranch forever. Also the daily specials were so fun and delish back in the day. I know they are in a transition period right now and I’m excited to see what happens!! Good luck guys.”

After confirming that I had already paid and been charged, Antoinette immediately jumped in and got to work on my order. She had everything ready within 15 minutes! We later found out that the system had prompted the restaurant to prepare the order a day early, so it wasn’t an issue with the staff. Despite the mix up, Antoinette was incredibly kind, efficient, and helpful throughout the whole process. She really turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a great experience. “First Cup This morning I had my first cup of this day at the Ground Floor Café on the beautiful campus of John Brown University. El Socorro Honey Maracaturra from Guatemala. A delicate, sweetly tart with juicy, high-toned acidity..., a lively cup indeed. Here is the description from Olympia Coffee. “Honey Processing leaves a bit of coffee cherry intact after pulping, skipping fermentation altogether and allowing the coffee cherry's natural sugars to marinate into the bean while sun drying. The result is a lush, fruiter version of what is already one of Guatemala’s greatest coffees.” Olympia Coffee. To be crystal clear, it is my earnest opinion that there is not a better place in our immediate territory for a finer cup of coffee than the Ground Floor. The staff are simply the best. Their commitment to consistency, the highest quality of process, without compromise is outstanding. I can lead a horse to the trough, I cannot force the horse to drink. Let me give my highest recommendation for you to enjoy a cup of coffee at the Ground Floor. If you are in doubt…, that’s ok, let me buy you a first cup. (limited buys)”
