“We went for a motorcycle ride and found this place on line. I honestly was expecting bar food and a normal lakeside drinking crowd. It was much better than expected. They have a great shaded outside deck with misters and breeze blowing off the lake. The menu was pretty large and the food and service were outstanding. Our group had the chicken quesadilla, chicken sandwich, flat bread pizza and mushroom burger. All agreed their food was great.The fries tasted handcut and portions were large. Highly recommend.“

“Ugly John’s Bar & Grill has one of the best lake locations around. We always enjoy the patio, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe — it’s exactly what you want on a Grand Lake day.

The food itself is consistently good, and when everything is running smoothly, it’s an easy place to relax, eat, and hang out with friends.

The only downside — and it happens often — is that they seem to run out of basics. Food items, condiments, even eating utensils. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it does take away from what could be a truly top‑tier lakeside spot.

Still, we keep coming back for the view, the patio, and the atmosphere. If they tightened up the supply issues, this place would be unbeatable.“

“Enjoyed every bit of this place! Quesadillas were amazing, beers cold and atmosphere great! I’ve also had the catfish, good and big portions!! Love they are down the road! This will be a fun place to be at this summer! They have live music and great a variety of food on the menu!“
