I’m an old time customer of Around the Corner. The days of excellent service are over, it seems. My wife and I went there for lunch. We arrived at 1:00 pm and sat down at a table. It took a while, but a waitress did greet us and gave us coffee. Then she left for the longest time without returning to take our order. I finally waved at her across the room. She still didn’t come. I ordered a BLT and it only had one slice of bacon. it was supposed to be on sourdough bread but it was regular white and chips were burned. Fries are a $1.75 extra. Save your money and eat across the street or on the corner at Sunnyside.
Last Saturday night during Heard on Hurd I had a not so great experience. I walked in to place a to go order. I stood at the hostess stand for a good 5 minutes and the waitress never acknowledged me. I ended up leaving and going back to Frenzy to meet my group. My husband convinced me to place an order online (at Frenzy they had menus on the table for Around the Corner with a QR code).
