Came excited to try some Puerto Rican food. I have had some before but never been to a restaurant for it. We walked in around 11:30am and no one was around so we walked to the back and they bartender asked if we were placing an order, then a women from the back came out and we asked if we could dine in and she said yes we can sit anywhere. Really loved our first visit to this restaurant. We did take out and ordered pizza and beef empanadas and alcapurria. The beef empanada was best, but the pizza one was good too. The alcapurria was good and different--a tad greasy, but that's just the nature of the item. We also tried their vanilla flan cake and it was out of this world. We'd return to this restaurant just for that food item, but the empanadas were also quite excellent, and there were other interesting choices...read full review

Having enjoyed Puerto Rican cuisine at Sol Food in the Bay Area, I wanted to introduce family here in San Diego to "cocina criolla".
