Love this is place authentic Mexican cuisine from the central of Mexico.
Barbacoa is delicious! Handmade tortillas and great sides. The service was also great!
I've been to El Hidalguense a few times, and it's always been great. The staff is super nice and friendly, and the food is always consistent. They specialize in barbacoa, and you can really tell—they have both beef and borrego, and both are really good.
My favorite thing to order is the quesabirrias. They're made with fresh, handmade tortillas, and that makes a huge difference. So good!
