“This was my first time dining at Prossimos. Absolutely fantastic service from staff and servers that care and really enjoy their work. Our server was Pam and she was never far from our table, often anticipating our needs. GM Chelsea S was just great. Food was outstanding and no doubt I will be back!“
“Omg the BEST salmon in Tulsa by far and an awesome price for the lunch portion, which you can get on weekends. For $11.95 with whipped delicious mashed potatoes and another side choice. Soooo good and the bartenders, where I always sit are fantastic!! I will be back many times!“
“I loved Hemingway the minute we walked in. We came in through the elevator which was obviously BTS but a host greeted us right away and led us to the host stand. We did not have reservations and opted to sit at the bar. The atmosphere is cozy and the vibe is laid back and comfortable. The bar is beautiful! We sampled a few house cocktails which were incredibly tasty and beautiful (Vampire and Love’s Kiss something or other). We ordered foie gras, 1/2 dozen oysters, wedge salad, steak frites, and crab/lobster billi bi (soup). Everything was excellent. I wouldn’t order the billi bi again just because I prefer an actual bisque. The bread is also SO good. It’s the crowning jewel to the trio of restaurants: Kilkenny’s, Nola’s, and Hemingway - great restaurateur!I usually get dessert but I was full and didn’t push it. Next time! Maybe next weekend! Can’t wait to go back.“
“I come here at least once a month just because it is so good. I have NEVER received a wrong order, bad food, or lousy service. The family that runs Kai does an impeccable job and I’m so grateful they decided to set up shop downtown. Great vegetarian selection as well, and super accommodating to dietary restrictions!“
“If you want something quick and easy and not have to go into wait in line at the grocery stories, check out this little family shop. It's is quick and easy. They even have boba which I did not see until I was already paying. Will be back for more later.Parking: There are steps so be prepared.Kid-friendliness: Yes.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“
“We went there about 7 pm for our anniversary dinner and I had the 3 piece catfish with fried okra and onion rings, the wife got 2 pieces of catfish and 3 pieces of shrimp with fries, our daughter got catfish and fries. Normally our daughter will only eat about a 1/4 of a piece of catfish but she ate the whole thing and 1 of the hush puppies because of how big they were. Everything was delicious and will definitely be back to try different things on the menu“
“We went tonight for my significant others birthday and the host immediately greeted us as we came in with a kind smile and asked for reservation name. (Highly recommended)As we were brought to our table we sat for awhile before being greeted. We ordered the king salmon , 2 crab cakes, mushrooms and lobster bisque. The crab cakes and lobster bisque was amazing. Would come back for those. The salmon was nothing special and they took off the skin on the bottom which I thought was odd. The cheesy mushrooms were disgusting and tasted sour/like onions. Our service from our server was kind of lacking in the fact of checking back and just kind of disappearing for awhile and drinks went empty. She also didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything. So that was a slight bummer. They took off the mushrooms which was nice and we didn’t have to ask. And gave us a free cute coffee nut cake. The atmosphere is dark and felt almost like a cave. Very cozy and intimate. There was cool glass art work that seemed to be from a local artist or at least looked similar.“
“Ended up here after hearing 1.5hr waits for a two top at Texas Roadhouse, told them nope and walked across the street to this wonderful place. Haven't ever been to a Carraba's so the whole experience blew my mind a little. Hands down the best service I've had in the Tulsa area since I moved here in 2018. Frantz was a knowledgeable, very accommodating server that never was away from his area, kept checking to make sure we were fine without interrupting anybodys meal, and the one issue we had with our entrees was dealt with sincerity and immediate resolution by the owner directly. I've never had service anywhere near that in Tulsa before and the food was delicious and quick to the table. We will be definitely back!“
“The ribeye i ask to be medium but was under cook little jelly center to rare. The waiter didn't come back by after dropping it off as I didn't have enough butter on my baked potato. My wife's sweet potato casserole was late to the dinner they didn't get it in.“
“Wonderful experience the whole way through. A precious woman took our order, the food came out quickly, tasted like everything you’d hope for from a cute little hole in the wall treasure of an establishment! Loved Ralph’sI got the catfish and my husband got the burger combo and both were fantastic! Okra was super yummy as well“
“Awesome Thai spot! Their menu is very extensive and lots of options for modifications, including many vegan choices. The flavors were spot on and the food tasted so fresh. We enjoyed the lettuce wraps, red curry, and yellow curry fried rice. Everything was great!“
“All ingredients feel fresh and tasty. Food quality is somewhat similar to a home cooked meal but with a luxurious presentation. We tried the pear gorgonzola, gnocchi and aglio e olio pasta and they were amazing. By far, one of the best restaurants in Tulsa.“
“First, I rarely do reviews like this. I got takeout from Maguro tonight. It’s Monday and it’s Dad’s night to figure out dinner.I custom ordered what I needed on the online app and they called minutes later to clarify our instructions we left. Very nice touch. They wanted to get it right. I was first told my estimated time was 50 min. It was ready in 20-25.The food was incredible. Absolutely perfect on every order. I can’t tell you how many times that has happened with a family of four (with young kids) but they were spot on. I took a hiatus from Sushi, I guess I was somewhat burned out. I love raw and fresh, the rest of the family wants the crazy fried shrimp/ mango/ firecracker inside out, upside down rolls etc. They absolutely nailed both (no small feat). This made me love sushi again!“
“Food was fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable and there is a wide selection of dishes. The service is welcoming and nice. The owners are very nice and pleasant to customers. The overall area in which this restaurant is located requires caution on the part of patrons.“
“Been wanting to eat here for a while and I wasn't disappointed. Food came out almost instantly and was fresh and delicious. The portions for the price are the best I've ever seen for seafood boil. We got a ton of food and couldn't even come close to finishing, which I've also never experienced with seafood boil places. Customer service was also excellent.“
“Went for Valentines dinner. The food was absolutely delectable! We were enjoying the live music and drinks Apparently they didn't get our entrees out according to their standards so they presented us with gift cards that will afford us another dinner on them. This was our 1st time eating there but definitely not be our last. Can't wait to try other things on their menu. So appreciate a customer satisfaction centered restaurant!“
“I typically do not review businesses, but the absolutely wonderful service has forced my hand.I am admittedly picky about the quality of my steak. Unfortunately, the first filet was extremely fatty, but, manager Robbie made amends and offered a new steak to be brought to the table. Though things were out of their control, both our server, Jake, and the manager on staff were incredibly attentive and made things right. The staff at this restaurant had gone above and beyond to make the dining experience amazing. I will be returning regardless of the mishap; the remaining courses were just as wonderful as the experience with the staff.Again, Thank you to our server Jake and Manager Robbie for their kindness, attentiveness, and service overall. ❤️“
“Just left Ti Amos downtown. Its been years and was definitely a delicious and delightful experience. Our server was exceptional and the food was popping on all the notes that make a italian experience feel, well Italian. My only meh was the breadsticks, they were definitely an after thought... but I ate them anyway ?“
“The wait can be a little long, so there seems to be some lack of organization by management, as there looked to be plenty of staff. Our server herself was fantastic, kind, helpful, and prompt. The beer did take a while to be delivered. The food itself is pretty fantastic. Shrimp, crayfish, and crab, with the juicy seasoning. Medium, unfortunately was not quite as spicy as I would like, so next time I'll have to go hotter. Calamari is tasty with a great fry, which has me eager to try the catfish.“
“A hidden gem in North Tulsa. Went for lunch with coworkers. Food served hot and fresh. Large portions. Nice flavor. Very clean and neat. One critique, clean/refill the salt and pepper shakers and refill napkins on tables. Overall, this place is great. Will def be back.“
“Food was AMAZING! Love the variety of salsas. Their queso isn’t the greatest in the world, but it’s not bad at all. Their rice and beans could be better but the entre’s were awesome! Our kids had the quesadillas and loved them. My husband got a fajita burrito and inhaled it. I got the red birria tacos & they were so so so delicious! When I go back to Tulsa, I’m definitely going there!“
“I am always on the hunt for THE BEST onion rings. I think I’ve found them. Wow! They give you a huge heaping platter full! I have found some good onion rings at other restaurants but the burgers are not always great. The burger here was! So the combo puts Freeway Cafe at the top of my list! We had them once before at Freeway Cafe #1 and afterwards I kept thinking back to them as possibly the best. I think today’s visit to Freeway Cafe West might have sealed the deal! It is kind of an unassuming place but it seemed clean and the waitresses were friendly and on top of things.“
“My husband is disabled, and the manager was very kind to help us access the elevator to enter the restaurant. We learned the restaurant was once a basement bar, so the ambiance is intimate and dimly lit, and it has unique charm. The crab cakes had more crab than those in California. The lobster bisque had chunks of lobster and was best I've ever had. The pasta and red snapper was lightly blackened, delicious and hot! No cold food here! The pollo parmigiana was grilled, pounded chicken dressed in a unique way, and excellent! Homemade cheesecake was delightful. Devon, our server, was so attentive, drinks were always full. Far cry from CA. We highly recommend for visitors and locals. Enjoy!Wheelchair accessibility: Just ask the staff and they will navigate you to the elevator with a smile!“
“It's one of our favorite restaurants in Tulsa. Excellent bar staff that knows how to consistently make refreshing drinks. Professional wait staff makes every meal a delightful experience. The meals are both visually appetizing and delicious. A perfect atmosphere for fine dining.“
“The atmosphere and staff are phenomenal. The live bad is inviting and relaxing. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. If you have not tried this hidden gem don't wait any longer you will not be disappointed. Fried green tomatoes are our of this world. Perfection!“
“We go for lunch every once in a while. I get the chili verde, it's ok, mom gets the combo, she likes it,and my step dad get a shrimp on a banana leaf.a lot of shrimp.its consistent .i don't like their salsa( thats why the 4 stars), the service is alittle slow and hard to keep drinks filled. They kinda want to sit us in the back, when they see it's hard for my mom to walk.i get that it make be a server rotation thing, but the server could switch tables..“
“This was our first time at Doc's. Start to finish was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. We had oysters and the cheese board appi's, heirloom salads, the pork chop and the scallops special. Crème brûlée to top it off. Simply delicious!“
“The Ridge Grill is a hidden gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining with family and friends and it was another remarkable dining experience. The ambiance was a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth, with soft lighting, tasteful décor, and professionalism. The menu, (we were there for brunch) showcased an impressive array of dishes that combined creativity with excellent ingredients. What truly set the experience apart was the impeccable service. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. Every request was met with a smile, and the pacing of the meal was well-times, allowing us to enjoy each others company. If you're seeking an extraordinary dining experience, Ridge Grill is the perfect hidden gem to try.“
“Date of visit 10/29/222The dark wood décor of the old Michael V’s restaurant adapted perfectly to the transition of the building into Chippers. It looks like the inside of an upscale New Orleans restaurant. Chippers has added bright panels of modern art and the smooth sound of soft jazz in the background. Not the bright sterile environment of a chain restaurant. Nope. Chippers is a local business, serving food from recipes originated by the owner, a preacher, and managed by his daughter. There is a sign on the front door explaining that “the restaurant is short staffed, so please be patient.” Even with that restriction, the service wasn’t terribly slow. I would call it friendly, and comfortably adequate. The menu is large and enticing. Choosing the meal was challenging. My wife and I both went for different versions of the fried catfish. For her the catfish Po’boy and for me the two-piece plate. Both meals ordered with fries and slaw. The Po’boy came with a small sampling of the slaw and my plate had a large cup. I thought the slaw was good. My wife is finicky about her coleslaw. She didn’t really care for it. Both plates had a good serving of fresh seasoned fries and two large slabs of perfectly fried catfish. The Po’boy had the sub style roll and condiments to assemble the sandwich. With that much fish, it was almost impossible to manage it as a sandwich. Also on the Po’boy, was Chippers ”Peach Zaza.” It is a sweet, smoky sauce that you wouldn’t expect be paired with fried catfish. It was delicious. The waiter said that they use it on their ribs. Check their web site. They have a listing of their unique sauces.I read a review where a diner complained about the saltiness of the food. This is a valid opinion, depending upon your sensitivity to salt. As stated on the menu “All Seafood Will Be Baptized in “Sweet Jesus” A Honey Lemon Glaze or “Our Love Seasoning” Which is Our Dry Seasoning.” I chose the “Our Love Seasoning” which is an excellent salt-based blend of spices. The salt was prominent. I didn’t think it was excessive, but if you are on a salt restricted diet, you may want to go with the glaze and avoid the Love Seasoning. I had no complaint, but I salt all fried foods anyway. One last comment about the catfish. The corn meal coating was about as perfect as any I have had. It was thin, light and fried to a perfect golden crisp.I have eaten a good amount of Cajun and southern style cooking, but not in Tulsa. I’m not sure what is available, if any. Chippers Seafood and Southern is a certainly a treat. We enjoyed the mealsFor other reviews laced with superfluous, time-wasting inessential information, sarcastic diatribe and subjective opinion, follow Spike S. on Yelp and Spike Speedwell on Google“
“The seafood was under cooked just a little, no sweet tea the waiter had to make the tea sweet. It was a little pricey for the quality of the Lobster I was given but potatoes, andouille and brussel sprouts were really good. They were understaffed as there were only 2 workers total. I ended up sick to my stomach a couple of hours later but it's ok.Parking: $8 to park to eat thereKid-friendliness: Highchairs available upon request“
“Amazing food. This is no standard Tex-Mex affair. Most of the menu is in Spanish with English explanation. The michelada is to die for! Their portion sizes are always greatAtmosphere: loud music, relaxed, informal, and chill servers.Customer service: normally only seen 1 or 2 waiters. The primary waiter doesn't speak much english, and I don't speak much Spanish. You can easily order even knowing no spanish. Fast, and friendly.Order accuracy: never got the wrong order and food was always good.Order speed: average wait time from order to food reaching the table. This is also very impressive because they make everything as it's ordered. All homemade fresh!Food quality: you will never be disappointed! One of the best Mexican places I've had. This is amazing Mexican NOT TEXMEX!All in all, 10/10Recommended food: tortas, guacamole, tacos, flautas, gorditas, and YOU MUST GET THE MICHELADA!“
“Ok I want to first start by saying this place has awesome authentic Mexican food. You wouldn't know from the outside. The family that runs the place are super nice. This is my life and my go to spot for Mexican food. The fajitas are awesome as well as their Pescado Frito. The salsa is great too. Ask for spicy salsa. Soooo good. My wife is very picky with queso and this is the only place she will order queso. Now you might go there and it says they are open but they aren't. DON'T MARK THEM AS CLOSED PERMANENTLY ON GOOGLE!! They are not permanent closed. Check their Facebook to see if they are open or not. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food definitely give this place a try.“
“Enjoyed everything about this place. My only complaints would be that I asked for my steak to be medium and I got closer to medium rare. I didn't bother complaining because I didn't want to take the chance of losing my appetite while waiting.“
“Ordered the Goong Kratiam Prik-Tai. Everything was fresh and really good. Ordered it with heat level 3. It was getting a little spicy by the time I finished the meal but if you like medium spicy, it's about right. Excellent service and food. Will definitely go again.“
“Place was really good. Menu is in Spanish/English. Ordered the shrimp ceviche and it was so amazing. Reminded me of ceviche in Costa Rica ❤️ ordered the shrimp nachos to go for hubby and he loved them tooVegetarian options: Everything can be ordered without meat“
“I went here for a friends birthday. Had the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken. There was about 12 people at our table, it took them an hour and 30 mins before they took our order, they brought everyone 3 rounds of refills before taking our orders, them a half hour to bring out our food which is reasonable since there was a lot of us sitted, the food was very good and I’ve been here twice the service was way better the first time time. I had the Mardi Gras Pasta, 10/10 very good and it was before closing so less busy in general…“
