“I’d advise to go here for the lunch “buffet”. You’re not gonna regret doing it outside that time, but the lunch deal is pretty great. You get a lot of food for cheaper than the non-lunch option. It’s a lot of food let me say that again, you’ll definitely have leftovers. The food is exactly what you expect it to be quality wise.

The inside is kinda run down but who cares. The vast majority are not eating inside this thing.“

“I've never eaten here but I pick up doordash orders for other people. Every time I come in the woman (presumably the owner) is always friendly. She greets all of her customers, interacts with them and ses to remember everyone! She picks up conversations right where customers left off from the last visit. You can tell she really cares about her customers. I'm so impressed with her customer service!!“

“I love this place. Their meat and veggies are very fresh. I like their all your can eat style and it’s a good price for lunch time. In Japan we call them shabu shabu and they do it just the way I like it back home.“

“Chinese Gourmet Express is my favorite place to eat when visiting Woodland Hills Mall. I have been a fan of their food since their first location at Promanade Mall, when their burbon chicken was only $5 a plate.

Fast forward through the years and it is still the same great tasting burbon chicken, just cost more due to inflation, but I still LOVE it!
When the cravings for Chinese hits, we will even drive to the mall just to go to the food court for this burbon and chicken.

During our visit, we went with two of the 2 item combos that included the rice. One was with the general tso chicken and broccoli and beef, while the other was merely a double order of burbon chicken with extra sauce on the rice.

I was told the other meal was good but the burbon chicken was still better. I personally only ate the burbon chicken, and it was perfect. They had just brought a new fresh pan of it out of the kitchen as well.

Overall, I would recommend visiting the Chinese Gourmet Express located at the Woodland Hills Mall. I will not vouch for other foods there, except the burbon chicken. There is nothing else around quite like it!“

“Been coming to this family business for since I was a child, grew up when they known as Egg roll Express and when it branched off this new name, but the same amazing people with the same amazing taste I've loved since I was introduced to them by my family. “I work nearby so I eat lunch here quite frequently, I have to say there is a reason that I frequently come back this is the freshest food, and the only place I'm aware of where the egg rolls are handmade everyday and cooked when you order them instead of being ordered by the hundreds and just dropped in a fryer. I call in the order when I leave work, pull up to the window and my order is ready and you can tell was just made. The owners always very friendly, and it's always clean. “I had this DoorDash to my hotel but it was so hot when I got it, I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down which was awesome being so fresh. However, that was just the sesame chicken. The egg roll didn’t seem very fresh and the cream cheese wontons were tiny with very little filling. Not bad but they didn’t taste fresh like the chicken did and I prefer a lot of filling in the ones i typically get at other places. The rice was okay but I’m also not a big rice person so can’t say anything was wrong with it. I would buy it again, I just wouldn’t get the wontons most likely.“

“What can you say Panda Express is just a good place to have a meal when you’re on the road!! The food at this restaurant was very good and fresh, granted I had to wait about 15 mins to get the food but overall the wait was worth the hot and amazing food.
