I decided to check out Jacky Chens because a friend recommended it. I got their Kung Pao Chicken dinner and it was delicious. Will be returning to try some of their other options.“

“Omg! This place was SO good! The soup dumplings (I specifically got the pork & crab) were amazing! The different sauces available on the tables were equally good, but garlic sauce was the best. The prices weren’t too bad and the options are pretty good too. This place definitely outdoes the other soup dumplings in other places. The only reason for a little less on atmosphere is it was pretty toasty inside and I’m not a fan of super warm-but the staff were great and the place was otherwise pleasant and clean 👍“

“Graffiti covered outside is not an indicator of the food, which is tasty and economical. A steam table is at the counter showing todays' offerings, one can get in and out in under 5 minutes when choosing from the daily specials. I had the fried scallops and chicken fried rice combo and it was quite tasty, made for three portions for this single human after reheating. 12/10 would recommend, going back soon.“

“I’d advise to go here for the lunch “buffet”. You’re not gonna regret doing it outside that time, but the lunch deal is pretty great. You get a lot of food for cheaper than the non-lunch option. “Chinese Gourmet Express is my favorite place to eat when visiting Woodland Hills Mall. I have been a fan of their food since their first location at Promanade Mall, when their burbon chicken was only $5 a plate.

Fast forward through the years and it is still the same great tasting burbon chicken, just cost more due to inflation, but I still LOVE it!
When the cravings for Chinese hits, we will even drive to the mall just to go to the food court for this burbon and chicken.

During our visit, we went with two of the 2 item combos that included the rice. One was with the general tso chicken and broccoli and beef, while the other was merely a double order of burbon chicken with extra sauce on the rice.

I was told the other meal was good but the burbon chicken was still better. I personally only ate the burbon chicken, and it was perfect. They had just brought a new fresh pan of it out of the kitchen as well.

Overall, I would recommend visiting the Chinese Gourmet Express located at the Woodland Hills Mall. I will not vouch for other foods there, except the burbon chicken. There is nothing else around quite like it!“

“From 2019-2022, I lived near this location. I lived in one of the two apt complexes behind the restaurant. They were my go-to chinese spot. In 2022, my little family moved south about 20 minutes. The chinese restaurant near us doesn’t quite meet our expectations so a couple months ago we decided we could drive 20 minutes into tulsa just to get our fix of bourbon chicken and general tso’s to go. I was relieved to know they haven’t changed. If anything, I feel they’ve improved. We also get the dumplings because the sauce it comes with is addicting. I seriously need the recipe. The portions are considerate. I have a smaller stomach so the containers feed me enough for two sittings, but I’m weird. At any rate the combos will satisfy. If you’re looking for red lanterns and dragon art in the atmosphere, this is not the place. I love a place with few frills, because that tells me that that time and energy was prioritized for making sure the meal provided was something enjoyable and knows they’re strongest model is takeout or delivery. Also, they’ve switched their to-go containers from styro to plastic. I re-use them for meal-prep containers. talk about environmentally conscious.“

“I had this DoorDash to my hotel but it was so hot when I got it, I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down which was awesome being so fresh. However, that was just the sesame chicken. The egg roll didn’t seem very fresh and the cream cheese wontons were tiny with very little filling. Not bad but they didn’t taste fresh like the chicken did and I prefer a lot of filling in the ones i typically get at other places. The rice was okay but I’m also not a big rice person so can’t say anything was wrong with it. I would buy it again, I just wouldn’t get the wontons most likely.“
