I had no idea this place existed until my coworker—who, judging by the way he ordered without even glancing at the menu, might as well have his name on a plaque here—introduced me to it. Walking in, I was immediately impressed. The décor? Contemporary-modern, I think. Whatever it is, it works. It’s stylish without trying too hard, the kind of balance that suggests someone put real thought into it. Now, if only the menu followed suit…

The adventure of hunting for great food in unusual places is an art. Diving through reviews of past diners, comparing notes from Yelp and Google and looking a menu pictures - you'd think we were researching a science project. However on occasion you have to take the risk, make split second decisions and all you have is a map and a place and a number and then you win the lottery and discover a place like Los Mariachis in a town called Glenpool which we had never known about...
