El Pitayo serves authentic Mexican food with great flavor. Chips are fresh and crispy, and the queso is very cheesy. The hot salsa is very good. The Molcajete El Pitayo is large enough to split and have leftovers. Chicken tacos are the best ever, and the Taco Tuesday special is a favorite. Fajitas are also amazing. Fresh guacamole and warm chips are superb. The sweet tea is just right. Service is excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The outside is understated, but the cozy atmosphere feels like family. Prices are very low compared to other places. The restaurant is clean, quick, and satisfying with a patio. Perfect for a meal after work, at the creek, or for large groups after the game.
