We went in last week and the food tasted like it was straight out of a can. Not much flavor at all . Food was Okay best. We had Enchiladas dinner and Tamales dinner. Our waitresses were very pleasant and stayed on top of what we needed. The atmosphere was very comfortable.

Eaten here many times over the years & always excellent service,
food, & welcome atmosphere. However, several times recently we've had waiter (Carlos) who is very curt & abrupt. Don't ask him for anything additional! His response is "I'm getting it!" very rude

This is one of my definite go-tos from Mexican food. The menu carries a lot of the standards you'd find at almost any other Mexican restaurant, but they also have a Peruvian fare that helps to change things up a bit. What I'm most surprised about is their fried rice dish. Honestly, with the exception of it being a bit too salty, it's better at Mamaveca's than it is at many of the Asian inspired restaurants I've gone to almost anywhere.
