It's probably been 40 years since me and my wife ate a charcoal oven. The food reminded us of days when we were in our teens. The Cock-A-Doodle chicken was fantastic. The service staff was able to deconstruct it so it would not get soggy on a long trip back. I got the mushroom in Swiss burger and I was so happy!!! Great Burger, perfectly cooked loaded with mushrooms. We got the onion rings they were everything that we remember they were perfect. Crunchy nice round onion cooked perfection. The french fries we got were the straight ones and they were perfect too. I can promise you this it will be 40 years before we go back again. I really compliment the people that were there what a great job. It's not close to where we live I can say it won't be 40 years before we get back there.

I have never met a burger I didn't like until today. Hockey puck, skimpy little patty, the hickory sauce tasted like bad sloppy Joe mix, and they throw some shredded cheese on top without melting. For a 16 dollar lunch I am extremely disappointed.

Visiting Oklahoma city after years away, I was glad charcoal oven was back. The fat burger was lackluster, but those onion rings are the best!!
The fries and burger were very bland and dry, no seasoning at all, especially with patty wagon next door (it’s wayyyy better, I’m sad I chose differently today). They also had Fox News on the tv if you care about politics, just eat at patty wagon - it’s better and you don’t support fascists.
Burgers cooked fresh to order, excellent service, at reasonable prices.
Service is good. It didn't take long to get our order. The food looks and smells amazing. I've always driven past this place and never tried it until today. And it's a high 8 out of 10.
Nostalgia!! Frequented This place many times when I was a little girl when it was located on NW Expressway as a drive through!! Was always excited to go and to find out that they're still here and the Menu hasn't changed they had me at can I get everything on the Menu? Lol
Yet... I ended up with a BLT sandwich, those delicious onion rings and Their famous Bacon Cheeseburger( added grilled onions as a topper)!! Savored every bite 💜
Great Customer Service and the environment was welcoming. There was the old marketing picture from times back as a painted wall mural !! Great memories 💜 💜 💜

I’ve had better burgers at my elementary school cafeteria! Do yourself a favor and try patty wagon next door. I should have known better when it was lunch time and not a single person was eating there. I’m not a picky person but this food was just awful.

I remember going to the old location in the 90s as a child. I recently moved into the neighborhood next to the current location. The burgers still hold up. I'm impressed with how fresh all of the ingredients are. The staff is fantastic. That charcoal flavor comes through and creates a perfect balance of flavor. Highly recommended.
Use to get the grilled chicken salad all the time at the NW Expressway location. It was a full container of lettuce, tomatoes, grated cheese and a scored chicken breast. Now it is barely a handful of lettuce (half full container), a few shreds of cheese, a slice of tomato and maybe a quarter cup of diced chicken. The only thing in abundance was the sliced red onion. And for $12!!!! Very disappointed and will not frequent again.

Best place for burger's. Second time eating here in a week. Amy provided friendly customer service. Will definitely be coming back..
First time to the new Charcoal Oven at 36th & May in OKC. Haven't eaten there since long before the legendary one on NW Expressway closed. I didn't recall these burgers being this great! I love charcoal/open flamed burgers and this hit the spot with the Home Battered Onion Rings. I will be back.
