Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

First off, outstanding service from Stevie! I haven't had service that solid in years. She had refills ready every time we were about to finish a drink. She was attentive. She brought everything promptly. She was serving a bunch of tables and not missing a beat. And she helped a woman who was having bad trouble the day we were there. If I lived in the area, I'd come here all the time, but I was just passing through. The food was delicious. The sausage and hash brown casserole is insane. (They should add this to the menu permanently.) And the chocolate pecan pie was delicious too. I come from a place where there are no Cracker Barrels. I've only been to two of them so far. I'll keep coming back to the ones by my new home that I'm on my way to!

I've eaten at CB for over 40 years. When my wife & I went there recently we had a very nice waitress greet us & take our order. Without any prompts from us she brought out cornbread & biscuits for an appetizer & offered us apple butter as well. I enjoyed my Mommas pancake breakfast & my wife had her usual veggie plate & when the bill came I noticed a $1.50 charge for our appetizer, which, we didn't even ask for/ wasn't told there would be a charge AND hadn't been ever charged for it before! I paid it without any hassle but I do hope in the future they will train their wait staff to be sure to let folks know there is a charge. BTW I still love CB & look forward to returning sometime soon!!
