Small menu and limited seating inside, where it is beautiful! Great atmosphere, hospitalable wait staff and nice size patio, with a fireplace. The food is good, but perhaps I didn't order the right thing, as I didn't fall in love with it; I ordered the enchiladas. Worth a visit, it was nice to try New Mexican cuisine!

The whole experience and everything about it was very mid. Didn't hate it, but I'm not interested in going back.

My wife and I went out with another couple on a date night. We heard great things about this place and wanted to check it out. We ordered drinks, queso, and guacamole. The chips had amazing seasoning and both apps were delicious. Their salsa was amazing too. After 15+ minutes, we had to ask for someone to find our waitress so we could order our food. Except for the beginning and very end, the service was pretty bad. When we received our food, it was incredible! They told us they were famous for their blue corn tortillas which is what they use for their tacos. I ordered the birria and camarones. Hopefully the service was just an off night. The food is worth giving them another opportunity.

Small menu and limited seating inside so be aware. Good atmosphere and nice size patio. Food is good! Love the blue corn tortillas and hominy side dish. Salsa and quest or taste and so is the guac. Worth a visit.

Wayyy overpriced and super small portions. What Mexican restaurant doesn't give you rice and beans with your entree? We were given chickpeas and refried beans with our meal. Everything is extra here apparently. The meat in your entree? Extra. Want rice instead of chickpeas? Extra. Their pork taco is so confusing, why is it covered in a thick curry like sauce? First bite was good but overwhelmed the meat so all you could taste was seasoning. I literally forgot it was supposed to be pork while I ate it. The only highlight was the Birria taco which was yummy but the consome was a tiny portion in a small ramekin. You literally couldn't dip more than an edge into the tiny saucer at a time. We got chips & queso to start, 4 tacos between us and 2 drinks. We left the restaurant unsatisfied and down $100 after tip 😒

We went for dinner. Great service. I appreciate the options to pick your protein or vegetarian menu. The house margarita was just ok. Great tequila, but weak on the lime. I personally don't like the "dark mood" atmosphere. While not the best for reading the menu, I really like to see my food better. They offer such great dishes full of color and texture. It would be nice to see it better. We had queso and guacamole, taco dinner with chicken Verde and shredded beef and red/green enchiladas with the chicken. Love the pickled onion on the gauc, dishes were well executed, though the chicken Verde was spicier than the beef. The smell from the wood burning fireplace was overwhelming and made me sneeze and eyes water. Next time I will ask not to sit in the back section.

This was my first visit to El Coyote. I didn't think food was good at all. I had stacked enchiladas with Christmas sauce. The beans and hominy had a blah taste. The enchiladas were not edible in my opinion. The service was poor. I had to go get a water refill from the bartender because the waitress didn't bus the table. We asked for hot sauce but she never brought it.
Not even close to New Mexican cuisine. I won't be back.

On our first visit at El Coyote for a Sunday's brunch, we found the Breakfast burritos and tacos were tastefully done. A big pleasant surprise was Edgar Cruz's live music. We bought some CD's from Mr. Cruz. Enjoying it now. Thank you.

We were lucky with a beautiful day to sit outside. Food was great and tacos are so cheap on Taco Tuesday!

Starting off, the patio is perfect. We started with some of the best salsa anyone at the table has had along with the most delicious queso and perfectly done guacamole. Then the entrees come and all ten people took their first bite of whatever they ordered and all said it’s some of the best food they’d ever had. The staff. Our waitress nailed it. There was a big group of us and she didn’t miss a beat. All the food came out perfect and correct. A lovely woman who actually said she manages their other restaurant was here on her first day and we would’ve guessed she’d been here from the beginning. I could not recommend this place more. 15/10 experience all around!
