Rude cafe staff, pleasant library staff
Went to the Harry Potter trivia night and it was a blast! This was my first experience here and I loved it!
I’m updating my review from the holidays. I enjoy visiting this serene spot in OKC. On my last visit, I treated myself to a stack of books and had a delicious green tea with blueberry, ginger, and lime syrup. They have a wide variety of flavors!
I loved the tea and my reading so much that I ended up buying the stack I was browsing. There's plenty to see, and many recently published books are 20% off.
Amazing store, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Wonderful little bookstore with great vibes.
They have a cafe and several fireplaces.
There’s a great art store right next door too.
Maybe I missed it but I didn’t see an LGBTQ section.
I would give this place a 5 star but the older lady was not very friendly or welcoming.
Very calm and cozy with a very large selection of books to choose from. They have a diverse and friendly staff that are happy to help customers as well. I hope I can go back soon!
We love this bookstore and cafe. Perfect place to take my grandkids for their books and a nice relaxing shopping experience.
Great vibe from the setting, music, and staff. Beautiful, peaceful, zen. But the food portions were so small, it was like eating off the kids menu for adult-menu lunch prices. And it was not that great of food. They also ask if you want to add a tip out loud, which is quite rude and abnormal.
Cherokee Nation Chief Chad Smith had an excellent book signing! This bookstore is BEAUTIFUL!! I will be back.
First time stopping by and this is a lovely bookstore! I love the whole vibe of this place! Lots of places to sit and get cozy and read as well as a nice coffee/tea shop!

I always have a good experience here and love to support them.
It's an absolutely wonderful place with amazing atmosphere and kind employees! They host a ton of events for the local community and their coffee shop has excellent specials!
Loved this book store. Very cozy with so much to choose from. They even have little areas to sit and enjoy a book. Great place to enjoy some tea and a book.
Updating my review from 5 stars to 3. I have had overall good experiences here over the years, but my last visit was very unpleasant. I had been told about the family story time on Saturdays so I checked the website the day before to confirm the time. The website shows it is from 10:15-11:30. I have a toddler who obviously does not fully understand the concept of time, so sometimes it’s hard to get going. We drove from Norman and made it around 10:40, thinking we would still have plenty of time. I grabbed coffees from the cafe while my partner started crafting with our little one. The person working in the cafe was super sweet, 5/5 experience there. By 10:55, all the crafting supplies had been picked up and put away. Confused, I asked one of the ladies hosting the event and she said it ends at 11. I told her the website says 11:30 and she completely blanked me. I pulled up the website and took my phone over to show her and another woman working the counter, and one literally turned her nose up at me. All I got was an “oh.” It wasn’t until I bought a book that the one who initially turned her nose up said “sorry about that, it usually ends [when it fizzles out] around 11” and the lady who blanked me gave me a 10% coupon. (Thank you) but next time, you can just not be unkind. I wasn’t rude at all, just confused and disappointed. A third person chimed in while I was checking out and it felt like they were all just trying to damage control but the damage was done. I only bought a book because I had already told my little I would. It felt very classist and unwelcoming. I‘ll probably still visit the cafe and go for events, but I’ll be buying books exclusively from The Floating Bookshop. They are warm, welcoming, and have a much better selection.
If you are in OKC you don't want to sleep on this adorable locally owned bookstore and cafe. They have a huge selection with a whole section for local authors. There is a cafe' with coffee, drinks, and snacks. They serve breakfast and lunch as well. There are quite a few events from musicians to book signings. It's a must see!
