After living in Oklahoma City for 24 years—and dining at nearly every other high-end restaurant in town—I'm almost embarrassed to admit this was my first visit to Cheever's. I cannot believe it took me this long. Parking around NW 23rd Street can be challenging, but once we walked through the doors, the experience was phenomenal. ALWAYS order the seafood tamales; SO ordered the molasses-roasted chicken, but they brought chicken-fried steak! They comped us his dinner, because, by the time they finally brought his chicken, I was finished. The waiter and manager were VERY apologetic and treated us well. Loved the chopped salad, and the 20-rear-old port was the perfect ending! We will always go back to Cheevers because the food is unique and the experience is almost always perfect!
