The food is really great. The view is lovely. But Rei Wang playing bass with the Hefner Grill Trio really made my night playing my request of the band. Smiles all around, thank you so much!!!
Hefner Grill has always been one of my favorite places to eat because of food AND service. However, I made a reservation on November 21st for one of the semi-private rooms for 6 pm, December 18th. Got a confirmation right back, confirmed again on the 17th. When I got there last night both of the semi private rooms were already occupied. Hefner Grill offers a wonderful dining experience with great food and excellent service. The spinach and artichoke dip and clam chowder are highly recommended, along with the tasty Caesar salad and awesome tuna poke. The fish and chips have a perfect fish-to-breading ratio, while the Sea Bass, fish tacos, grouper, and bayou shrimp are cooked to perfection. The Gumbo and Trout remain outstanding choices, and Paul's pasta is a delicious option. The restaurant accommodates gluten-sensitive diners well. The beautiful view of Lake Hefner adds to the great atmosphere, making it a great spot for meals with friends or special occasions. The staff is great, and the live music is a nice treat.
