Legacy Grill and Bar by The Lake

Heard great things about this place. Service was very slow. It was a little awkward with weird lighting and almost no one in there. More of a bar than a “grill and bar” — as they don’t have a menu with food options. I think the place has potential, but needs to be up front about being a bar with food options rather than a grill with drink options.

Our first time here and definitely won't be the last. The service was good and the food was amazing. We ordered the brisket queso, loaded potato, fried chicken basket and the fried catfish basket. When I tell you the food was so dang good and seasoned to perfection. This will be one of our go to places.

The staff was extremely nice. Family oriented. Clean. The catfish was really good and well seasoned. The collard greens was on point. My husband had the ribs and potato salad was extremely good. I'm actually mad that I didn't get it. We will definitely be back.

Kid-friendliness: The owner was super nice to our kids. Also the music was instrumental and no cursing! I appreciated it.

Maaaaaaaaan LISTEN TO ME !!! I have been in search of beef ribs for the longest , so I spent most of my day calling places and none had them (ugh) . So after calling at least 10 places I found this location ! I called ,and they said yes so I was sold !! I drive on over to get the ribs and the young men in there were just a vibe !! So I sat and talked for a bit ,cracked a few jokes (cause I’m a stand up comedian and all ) and just vibed while waiting for the food (which surprisingly didn’t take 8 years!). So I ordered the beef ribs,some potato salad and some Mac and cheese. I am not gonna lie , I thought it would be aaaaaiiiigghhhtt . So while at the stop light ,I had to dig into the potato salad !! We all know how important the potato salad is so I had to see if it was gonna be cool .. MAAAAAN !! The potato salad was so damn good , I’m at the green light looking at the potato salad like “ WHO DO THEY HAVE IN THE KITCHEN?” Then I slide to the Mac and cheese !!!! Had another heart to heart ,and I felt a freakin tear forming in the corner of my eyes . “ OMG WHO IS COOKING THE FOOD?!! WHO !!!!” So then after annihilating and inhaling the sides(with my big back ssa), I finally had a BEEF RIB !!!! The tear that was once sitting in the corner of my eyes ,finally rushed down with many others!! My taste buds started singing praises,and I was in HEAVEN ! They were succulent ,juicy SEASONED TO THE GODS ,and PERFECT!! Whole time I thought it was somebody’s granny , and it was UNCLE WITH THE CLEAN SOCKS AND CROCS !!! This was def an experience worth sharing and I am forever hooked !!! THE.BEST.POTATO SALAD !!!!!! Hands down !!!! Everything was rocking ,but that potato salad is gonna give me the sweetest dreams !!!
