Milo is a restaurant in progress. It's got a concise menu that's a little eclectic (an Italian dish using mezcal and bison?), and it's in a great area. The manager and the bar manager are amazing, and the chef's got some great ideas (the crab cakes and the duck are amazing, though the duck's seasoning along with the peaches was confusing to my palate, but nonetheless provocative).

The charcuterie board needs rethinking. The ingredients look to be those which the hotel would think profitable, but it's lacking in prime materials. The cheeses, save for the Boursin, which is never to be thrown away from my plate, need some better thought. Add some nuts, some jams or preserves, and some other meats in addition to the salami.

The drink menu's got some solid choices, and the bar is very creative.

I want this place to succeed. It's got all the makings for it to do so. Just some better ideas for some of the menu, but a great staff to make the night after a concert really worth visiting.

First let me say that every staff member was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was exceptional. I ordered the ribeye and it was SO flavorful and perfectly cooked. The portion was generous as it should be based on its price.

While our server was very good, she did disappear for quite a bit a few times. We noted that the bartender, the host and others would need to fill in. It seems like she not only was the only server but she was also responsible for some behind the scenes. Note at the outset there were only three tables filled. Once more people arrived, it became problematic for other tables.

We watched one lady wait for at least five minutes before anyone came out from the back to address her needs. Another table had to go to the bartender to request her check. These are little things but do add to the other reviews about service. I'd love for this restaurant to address the issue (recognizing employment issues nationwide) as the vibe and food warrant many repeat visits.

We only had coffee and a muffin, but the service was good, and the atmosphere was nice.

Food tasted great! But unfortunately the service was TERRIBLE! We were seated 30 mins after our scheduled reservation while there were multiple tables open. The host was back behind the bar making drinks while people including us were just standing around waiting for a table, Once we were finally seated it took them 20 mins just for water, once we ordered, we got our food and it took them an extra 10 mins to bring me a steak knife! We ordered the bread pudding but after I asked for the bill the waitress failed to let us know that there was no pudding after we had already ordered the pudding, overall service was just terrible.

Our reservation was at 9 PM on valentine’s day. We walked in at 8:55 and weren’t seated till around 9:30… We sat at our table and weren’t helped at all for about 30 minutes. after deciding on what we wanted, the waiter brought us waters and caesar salads and told us they were out of pretty much everything other than the caesar salad and their main courses. the caesar salad had NO DRESSING and stale croutons. i do not eat salads. she took our order, after 40 minutes of waiting she brought us another tables order and didn’t realize till we pointed it out. after another 30 minutes of waiting (2 hours total at this point) with our untouched salads we waved down a different employee, voiced our concerns and the manager came and talked to us 5 minutes later. she offered to comp our meals and even bag them for us to take out, but we refused and took our business elsewhere. we strongly do not recommend trying this establishment as they couldn’t even provide us proper service on one of the most important days of the year.

Understaffed. Which determined the course of the whole meal. Our server was clearly stressed out and barely okay at the beginning of the evening. Forgot our drinks. Food was good, but no drinks. Drinks came last. They did comp them. But won’t come back. Simply too many great dining options in OKC to give it another go.

For the day after Valentine’s Day, it was super busy. Staff handled it well. Understaffed for sure.

Food was incredible and Sabrina deserves the biggest raise.

We will definitely be back.

Had a reservation for 6:45, but by 6:51 no one had even bothered to greet us. Stood at the front for 10min. There was a large party in front of us waiting to be seated, but no way to get anyone’s attention to let them know we had a reservation for 2. We were completely ignored and it was as if a reservation was meaningless. We left. Absolutely unacceptable.

Came for Valentine's Day dinner. The food that we received was good, but we only got 2 of the 4 courses that we ordered. Our server Ben was overworked...

We ordered drinks twice before receiving one order an hour into dinner. No water refills. Appetizer came, followed by dinner. We informed them that we hadn't received our soups. They dumped dinner at the table anyways and the soup never came. After our 90 minutes of seated time we spoke to the manager who dropped off the bill and the dessert (cold and sloppy) in to go containers with no utensils or bag.

Ben came to our table a total of four times (order, drink order, drink order, drink drop off) the rest of the time it was a good runner or host.

The manager was not helpful, though apologetic. With the reservations backing up she seemed more interested in getting us out than making us feel treated right.

I've never felt more mistreated by a restaurant.

We had a reservation for 8:45pm but we didn't get seated until 9:15. Not a big deal. Once seated, it took 15 minutes for a server to finally come to our table, only for them to bring entrees that we had not even ordered. They had a closed menu for Valentine's day, with a few options to choose from. Unfortunately, there were no choices because they run out of everything. The food looked good but we did not get to try it, we left because we were fearful of how long it was going to take, and we didn't want to pay $65/person when we couldn't even get to choose our food. We are disappointed because they ruined our Valentine's date.

The Milo Hotel restaurant was such a pleasant experience! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and their cute cocktail bar was the perfect spot to relax in the evenings.
The staff were incredibly accommodating, making sure I had plenty of space to be comfortable with my broken leg. A special shoutout to Angela, the manager, who truly set the tone for the outstanding service at this hotel.Their attention to detail and kindness made all the difference. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

We just finished a lovely weekend reunion at the Ellison hotel, and SO much of the charm was because of the Milo bar and restaurant. The staff was so kind and attentive. The cocktails and wine list were all solid, and the breakfast is delicious! It’s a gem!

I came here looking for a "high end" option for Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, the food I had wasn't up to par with the price I paid. I paid $86 for only one meal. Turkey tasted like it had freezer burn, Sirloin was too greesy, Salmon undercooked, food was COLD. Everything was terrible except for the service. The staff was very friendly. But the food tasted like trash. I feel like I got scammed, and I'm too ashamed to admit to it in person, also it seems that with the Salmon being undercooked and almost raw, I might be facing food posioning. Do not eat here, save your $100.

Update 01/17/2025:

Management never contacted me via email or responded to this review. It's been months. I won't be back.

If you come to OKC, I highly suggest you stay at The Ellison Hotel and eat at Milo SEVERAL times so you can try multiple things from their menu! Do better than me, as I fell so in love with their salmon dip with house made chow chow that I ordered it 3 times in 4 days. Kudos to the staff for not not judging me - ha!

I did branch out and try some other items. The pimento cheese tots with spicy ketchup was so good, my jaw literally dropped upon the first bite (I'm a big apps gal, if you can't tell). Their white bean and collard greens soup was also absolutely delicious. My southern heart slurped it down with no leftovers.

Also, a huge huge shoutout to Ben. I have no idea if he's management or not (if not - he should be!) but I was so impressed not only with his kindness and quick service, but also by his ability to be the calm in the storm as he balanced room service requests for the hotel, along with managing requests from a very large dinner party simultaneously, and he did it like a pro maestro of a symphony.

Bet your bottom dollar (and top dollar, and every dollar in between), that I'll be back to both The Ellison and to Milo. Until then, I'll be daydreaming about their food and scheming when I can make the excuse to book my next flight out here. Much gratitude, Epiphany
