On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Had fly in drink. Limited menu compared to other locations. Fruit flies in bar area. Prices go up and quality goes down like so many other places these days which is unfortunate as this use to be my favorite place to eat they dont even have the borderita their signature margarita. And blenders were down so the couldn't do blended or sangria Rita's so ordered 2 other premium Rita's they had on the menu and not very impresses for 15 bucks each and hubby's came with a fly. Server was very nice though

had some low maintenance appetizers for meals. dessert is ready and cold. to go haven.

New cheese is god awful, too many onions on everything now, and just ignore fajitas and stale chips. I miss the old on the border

I recently visited “On The Border”at their Meridian site in N. OKC! It was late, so I ordered a light snack! Their chips were freshly made and light as a feather, salted perfectly and were delicious!! ! My waiter was Nate!! ! He was extremely polite, courteous, and very attentive! He filled up my drink multiple times and asked me, repeatedly if I needed anything else!! So, when you’re needing some great Mexican food, an excellent waiter, “Nate” and great music….. maybe, “On The Border” on Meridian is your ticket!! Go visit “Nate!” He will take care of you!!

I ordered take out and paid for two grande fajitas. Mind you we spenplace. You can literally count the chips. The bag was stapled, so I know it was nor tampered with. If you want to be screwed out of food then this is the place to eat. If you don't want to be screwed then do not order from this place. If I could send pictures. It would be posted.

Wow impeccable service, and dinner I had Monday. Alyssa really went above and beyond! Ive been hesitant since the new ownership, and the new changes to the menu. But she listened well, and gave the best suggestions of what to order and try. I can't wait to come back, and enjoy the service with the food.

Wednesday 1/2 price combo fajitas is around 30.00 with 2 sodas. Everything was fresh and delicious. Even got a free side of garlic butter which when used with the steak fajita is unbelievably good. They make the tortillas right there and service was really good. I'm going to be a regular on Wednesdays for sure! EXTRA My $6.00 margaritas was really good!

The staff was cheerful as I was greeted at the door. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. A bowl of hot fresh chips and salsa arrived at my table shortly after being seated. Very good. At the suggestion of my waitress I ordered the 3 crispy fish taco plate. They were quite large which was unexpected. The flavors of the fish tacos were very good. I enjoyed the beans, but the cilantro rice was disappointing. Too much cilantro and no other flavor in my opinion. Otherwise a very enjoyable meal.

The Queso should be complentary now since you changed the recipe. There is nothing special about it now. The margaritas was very bitter today.

I don't know what they did to the menu but its led to the single most disappointing meal I've ever had. None of the classics are there anymore. Everything is smothered in raw onions. The queso is clearly watered down.
I will never return.
