I have a tough time trusting Cajun restaurants. There was a wonderful spot in Midwest City that opened 12-13 years ago by folks displaced by Hurricane Katrina, but they went home years ago. A few years ago, I went on a search for the best crawfish étouffée and came away feeling pretty meh. There is more average Cajun food than good. So I decided to try Rew Orleans for lunch. Or maybe it's the Alley Cafe. There are listings for each at the same address. To test the waters - and because big lunches make afternoons tough - I decided to order a bowl of their gumbo. I'll have to say it's one of the better gumbos I've had in Oklahoma City. I like that it's chunky, as some places blend theirs too much. Chicken, shrimp, mussels, Andouille sausage and all the right veggies. It did need a little salt, but no biggie. One thing I liked was the slight touch of heat. I really didn't notice it had been building until about two thirds of the way through. Not enough to light you up, but just about a perfect level. It's definitely earned a deeper look, and the service was good, so maybe I'll give the étouffée a go soon.

Went in on the 4.5 star review. What a disappointment. The breaded shrimp on the po-boy tasted like it came directly out of pre made frozen box , not made at establishment. My friend had the special sandwich of chopped beef it was lackluster and grizzly. Will not go back.

Absolutely delicious! I had the catfish poboy and my niece had the ribeye poboy and they were both incredible the fries were fabulous the perfect amount of crispy. We also took two desserts to go: the beignets and the bread pudding with rum sauce. Marvelous all of it!! 5 stars in flavor, freshness and reasonable priced. Now let's talk about service. My goodness the service was so good! Wait staff was so pleasant. Kitchen 86ed tomatoes and she was quick to inform us soon as info was available. No big deal we're not here to get aggro over produce. Ya don't have em ya don't have em it's all good. Staff refilled drinks as soon as they got to half empty. Asked if we needed anything couple of times but not enough so that it was annoying. It was the perfect amount of times to check on a dine-in customer. A manager came to check on us towards the end of the meal and she was a little hard to understand but was very nice as well. Five stars! 10/10 would eat there again!

So delicious! I had the shrimp poboy and it was so good. Great location and wonderful staff. The chef came out to thank us for coming in to eat.

I don't normally write reviews but I am making an exception...I genuinely think this is the best CAJUN FOOD in OKC. I had the Cajun Jam and it was awesome! Cocktails are $5 - $6 and Sunday's are bottomless mimosas!!! Its a hole in the wall with great food, like you're in NOLA.

For the price I really expected something wonderful, that didn't happen. We started out with the crab cakes at $14. They were mushy and just didn't taste right. I would have expected this quality of food from Long John Silvers, Popeyes, anywhere that wasn't trying to pull of a menu more than fast food. My boyfriend got the Jambalaya and it tasted like a dollar store TV dinner. My seafood pasta wasn't bad, it did have another one of those lame crab cakes on top of it though. This place obviously gets their groceries from a substandard supplier. It was a disappointing waste of $60 for dinner for 2.

This place is delicious. The food is genuine. The chef is very personal and friendly. My waitress was very good. I can't wait to try their new brunch. I will be back soon.

Right when we walked through the door we were ready to leave but we stuck it out due to time restraints. The decor is wonky and confusing, and the overall atmosphere felt awkward (not to mention that the place smells like Play-doh). We ordered gumbo (which was not roux but soup with shrimp and rice) served with stale bread. I had a decent catfish po-boy with hard/stale fries. We were definitely underwhelmed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

First off, and most importantly, the food was pretty good. My wife ordered the Caesar salad (without croutons), and she got a very small, underwhelming bowl of lettuce, Caesar dressing, and some parmesan cheese. For $5, we could've gotten a couple of Caesar salad kit bags and made our own. But, the fried shrimp po boy I had was unbelievably good! It was a little pricey ($16), but the sandwich was cut into three large pieces, and came with a side of fries. That being said, you're hit with an "old odor" when you walk in. Not sure if it was mildew or what. Not super strong, but definitely noticeable. They also had a DJ in there that night. Very nice, older gentleman, but it was kind of awkward with there only being customers at 3-4 tables. As others have said, the decor looks like they got some decorations from Party Galaxy or Walmart. It was a bit corny, to be honest. Our waitress was a real sweetheart. She was very friendly, and had a nice, bubbly personality. We really liked her. However, my wife's salad was brought out 5-10 minutes before my sandwich was ready, so she was done eating by the time mine got there. From the time we ordered, it took probably 30 minutes for my food to get to the table. Not horrible, but not great either. I think there are some things that the owners could do to improve this restaurant. If they do, I have no doubt that this place will be a huge hit!

Great atmosphere! The service was amazing and the food was delicious! Check out their crab benedict on their brunch menu!

Went in because the reviews showed 4 1/2 stars. When it came time to order, we were told they didn't have 3 out of the eight entrees on their menu at 6:30 on a Saturday night.(Cajun restaurant with no Etoufee) we reluctantly ordered alternate dishes, then the waitress returned and in formed my wife her alternate was out too. Big fail. We walked out, so I can't comment on any of the rest of the menu.

It's usually a bad sign when restaurants attempt tew make their name intew a clever play on words, almost as if they are trying tew distract the consumer from the shitty decor and underwhelming fewd. Luckily that's not the case here, it's clear that a lot of thought and effort went intew crafting both the menu as well as this breathtaking space. In fact, if I could be so bold, I'll go so far as tew say there is a zero percent chance that eating here will rouxin your day. It might rouxin your appetite, but you certainly won't rue the day that you decide tew try Rew Orleans. Youx can thank me later.

New Orleans style restaurant. Expected the food to be spicy but it was not. Very flavorful but would have liked a little more spice. We had bbq meatballs for an appetizer, blackened whitefish with scallopini sauce and the Cajun jam which was chicken and sausage over rice. The chef came out to our table and checked on everything. He also made the bread pudding sauce without nuts since I am allergic. Good place. Check it out.

Uh YUM! Crawfish Egg rolls on special for lunch today. $12 for two large egg rolls but it was AMAZING. Crawfish tasted fresh; sauce and seasonings were great (I personally like things pretty salty or spicy but this didn't need it) not greasy at all either. The Chef even came out to introduce himself. Highly recommend. I would like to come back and try some gumbo or po boys. Only thing that I would possibly even consider recommending would be adding some jambalaya and some other cajun specialties. But keep in mind! This is Chef on premises so a limited menu is totally fine when the food is cooked to order!
