The owners and staff are all awesome and they bake their pita bread fresh right there! Their gyros are amazing and they make their own baba ghanouj and hummus, too. You can get fresh veggies, grape leaves, haloumi and goat cheeses, and a ton of other fresh Mediterranean foods, houkas, tea sets, halal foods, lamb, and too much more to list here! Well worth the visit, plus you can eat inside if you want to!

lived from 1992 to 1999 at NW 14th and May, but I never noticed Sweis Pita Bakery and International Market , or maybe I just never paid attention. It’s a restaurant that has been around for about 50 years, and it’s also a Mediterranean market. It’s located on May Avenue between NW 20th and NW 21st.
I started going there in January of this year to buy their gyros, and I can say they are some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve bought gyros in different states, and none compare to the flavor here.
I highly recommend it. It’s super delicious!

This little place is amazing. The people are very kind. They have an awesome selection of imported Mediterranean groceries. The Bakery is awesome, The freshly made Pita, Zartar, cheese and meat pies are delicious. They have excellent baklava. They also have delicious menu items as well at their Restaurant. Hummus, Falafel, Gyros, Dolmas, etc. The fresh food is all excellent. The prices are the best around . Absolutely love this Place.

Family owned operated. After Easter I got a dessert that I had not had in years. And enjoyed my lunch as always. Bought some more ingredients for home cooking.
And the bakery items like the pita were still in the over, Did not get mine that day.
Friendly and selfless staff.

Absolute gem of a spot. Market has good items but I love the hot food, always tastes fresh while being affordable. Super nice couple runs the place, they also have a section for eating there or quick and easy to take to go. Local made pitas for sale a plus.

Best falafel in the entire world. Lots of parsley and just a little spices but not so that a child can’t enjoy it. You can buy it made hot and fresh or they have mixes they made ready for you to make. Easy to fry or bake. Great for anytime.

They catered for the teachers at my daughter’s school, and the PTA posted about it. It looked yummy, so I stopped in on my lunch break today! The gyro was loaded! Delicious and the people there were so kind! I’ll definitely be back!

This place is a little gem in OKC. The food and service were absolutely wonderful. The couple who run it are very friendly and helpful, and will explain any of the products/foods to you clearly. They have a wide selection of products available from all over, including spices, flours, nuts, teas, coffees, oils, and rices, along with fresh & frozen items. Halal meats are available too, frozen. There are a few tables inside you can sit at to eat your food if you don't get it to-go. We had the falafel and gyro pitas. Hands down one of the best places for falafel & gyros. We bought their pita and hummus to take home. Couldn't even wait... we ate most of it when we came home! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a quick lunch and browse the international products. You will definitely find something you didn't know you needed!
